I really like your take on one piece. the plot is in-lined with canon, the romance/mature bits are present but doesn't totally affecting the camaraderie but instead it binds them closer together. I totally get the paranoia and fear of luffy due to the fact he lost everything on the his 1st life which lead to the decision of getting more companions/nakama in the journey to prevent what happened.

I think it's neat and original.
Can't wait this story catch up with canon :D
