On forgiveness. No, if someone says they love you and they betray you, you can understand but not forgive. Cause aren't we taught love is all that matters?

I just skipped ahead to see if they get back together and I hate it because I can't tell. They could be old friends who are close but not closer...or they could be keeping it pg rated because they are in Charlie's house. Shit...I can't tell, but I'm thinking I know the answer.

The letter was increadibly sad, I found. Her owning some of the blame and that she has regrets is something, but it had to hurt him to read it. I can see why he came to the same conclusion as I did...

So Esme and Carlisle don't know what happened between Edward and Rosalie, it sounds like. They don't know that Rose slept with Edward or what kind of a selfish low-life she really is. Emmett dating her and marrying her when she did what she did to his brother is really surprising too.

It just dawned on me...the fact you have labeled this story friendship and angst and not romance...they may never get together-together and that will break my...

I wish Edward was open about how he feels about Bella. He does want her back and he dies want more than friendship. If it wasn't for Alice, Bella and Edward would have worked things out back then. And she is wrong about Bella never being able to trust him again. She would be able to once they were together for a while.

It's funny that Edward thinks there would be no repercussions to having a one night stand with this Laura chick. Doesn't he realize if he left the restaurant with her Alice would make a b-line to her phone and tell Bella all about it. Then he would have to kiss going to the wedding with Bella goodbye. I sure hope he doesn't do that.

Yeah...definitely angst (as well as romance) should be in the classification. I hate labeling someone but a story is different. Romance means that the main protagonists end up in love and together. (You labeled this Friendship though so maybe they don't end up together-together. He is still in love with her though and if she can get past what he did she is in love wuth him. The bottom line is that they could never be friends if one of them started dating or marrying someone else...so friendship? I guess I will find out as I keep reading.) Angst to me means at least a period of not getting along, anger, pain and frustration. I always get confused about when a story should be called hurt-comfort instead of angst.

Reading the past part in this chapter I can't help but think Edward must have had a higher calling because his loving thoughts and acceptance of Bella still not being ready makes sound like a saint for sure.

Adult Edward is as taken by this girl, as the adolescent version. Bella holds all the cards then and now.

I really like them both. In the past sequences I don't understand why she is not ready to be with him...not now but soon. When she is 17 after dating for 2 or 3 years and being friends for 10 or 12 years before that it's surprising.

Present day Edward must be so afraid to push; it's like he is standing on a ledge and he knows it.

I wouldn't have let Rose hug me, I don't think. I'm sure Alice knows Edward and Bella are still in love with each other.

So not completely confident after all.
