It's been so long since I've visited FFN to see what was new and what a treat it was to find your story. You are a great writer and I'm glad that you are continuing this story. I like to see that good authors with creative minds can still find so much to write about, and make us think about, from the S2 storyline.

A few of my favorite things: Matthew's reflection on how Lavinia was part of his memory of the war years. The extent to which the war years are still weighing on Matthew personally and the world around him. Matthew absorbed in his guilt. The "black and white" merging to grey.

Your stories are all very well done. It'd be so wonderful to have a continuation of this one. Thanks so much.

Mary was very wise to leave him abruptly at the train station. Matthew needs to miss her and long for her presence. Maybe that will stir him to action. L
