Danny is Danny. Very loud and almost like a child, being confined to the hospital for another 4 days is definitely going to drive him up the wall. ;-p

My one little complaint with this is the fact that they wouldn't have paper charts. This was part of the HIPAA mandates that hospitals must go electronic. Heck, the holistic physician I take my nephew to has gone all electronic. No more paper charts. (It's something I learned in massage school. :) )

Great chapter! I love the way Steve looked back Danny's life so far and sorted it out perfectly. (Actually, it's you who did it!) I'm so convinced by his analysis about the balance of Danny's fear and courage.

Great chapter. You were spot on in your description of Steve's insights into Danny's complex nature. Even though he does have emotional issues, he never once let his fears stop him when it came to protecting his teammates, and his daughter.

Great last couple of chapters! I can see Steve's point about Danny's negativity, I also see it as a way for Danny to protect himself because if you are always expect the worse then it doesn't hurt as bad when it happens. (At least that's what you tell yourself)

I don't doubt that Danny is claustrophobic however, he had someone else to focus on in this situation which switched on his stubborn streak. Steve thought it himself, Danny gives his all for everyone else and leaves little for himself. I think that our Detective needs to cut himself some slack, the same slack he gives everybody else.
