Something I admire is how lean this writing is, nothing at all that isn't focused directly on the plot you are telling us, no lingering beyond just enough time to cover the most vital part before moving on. Appropriate for a one shot.

All over the country there are strategic bases of the army with soldiers trained to deal with them. They can be at any point of attack within ten minutes normally.

That is definitely impossible. I'm not sure if 10 minute response time is even possible from police stations, and restructuring the military to have infantry squads in police cars ready round the clock at every police station would be a huge undertaking. There are in total about 80,000 infantry soldiers in the UK, and about 150,000 cops (of which very few have weapons training, because British cops are unarmed).

You do not defend everywhere at once. You defend the critical installations and you do intelligence work to plan attacks on the enemy and then you attack the enemy.

It was a good story. I wasn't fussy about not seeing the wizarding world's reactions at the end and about Bumblebore being dead; but, all in all, it was entertaining.

The concept was good, I agree. But you've got to remember that conversations do not generally take place like a person babbling for a whole minute and the other person attentively listening. It takes away the attention of the reader.
