Stupidity ar its best, suck a 20 foot cock you fucking cunt!
| Axcel chapter 15 . 11/30/2016
You made the Reapers deadly enough to defeat the alliance in this fic, so the OP factor doesn't really matter. You already implied with the Library that the Reapers from the games are basically kiddy gloves compared to what comes if those are defeated.

With humanity's technology, especially MELD, terraforming would be easy. As such, overpopulation is of no concern. Also, the human death rate and birth rate are such that even immortality would not lead to overpopulation of Earth for at least a couple centuries. That isn't even taking into account birth-control methods such as number of children restrictions. Plus, more people living means more people fighting the Reapers in some capacity.

Actually, only those lives on the science ships were post to misunderstanding. Everyone else was killed due to Turian greed and arrogance.

Why do writers frequently make some sort of primarch council? Isn't there only one primarch? Their society follows a military chain of command rules by one person.

Ignore TheLurkerBelow. What he said is either nonsensical (like being shot by plasma one-shotting the target being "overpowered"), contradicted by canon or science, or is never mentioned in either game's canon in the first place. He also likes to exaggerate and does not realize that a dreadnaught's gun, however powerful, is a precision weapon quite useless for true bombardment.

so...i jump to the latest chapter to get a feel of where this is going and see the rewrite notice. will jump over to that one and see how its going

your writting style needs work (im not sure what to call it, it doesnt 'flow' well? doesnt feel like a conversation?) but your ideas are rather original (to me, ive never seen the turian become a client state before or an outright offer to the krogan and quarian) at this point im really wondering what the citadel races are going to do now, especially the volus. one other thing, sonic based weaponry would have more uses then pure navel combat (though no space/void uses) like a sniper rifle with no sound (since its all focused on the target) or other things to give away location. maybe a clean, controled breacking charge. try to REALLY think about how a tech could be applied, like you did with the gene mods. lastly, its good to see humanity not depicted as a bunch of xenophobic madmen, they live alongside mutons, ethereals and more. it just wouldnt have been realistic, theyre wary to be sure (who wouldnt be after three wars) but still reasonable. enjoying this so far

solid start. one thing though, molecular control, while tftd version of psionics wouldnt work in the same way and would open up whole new Avenues of research and manufacturing is the name is taken literally

First of all, it is a pretty neat crossover in some aspect. I liked how you built a nice history for the human-alien wars, and how you describe technologies and research. Also i liked how you utilised most of the original characters from ME.
But i don't get this big.. how should i say nicely...overpowering of the xcom technology. I played the last two xcom strategy game ( still playing the second instalment ) and that xcom fps game too. While they have some great technology, i don't see them as threatening as some describe. Plasma is not that op not even laser, or at least not in the games.
Also ME has some fucking powerful weapons too... you know bombs ( like the planet cracking bomb in mass effect 3 ) and Van neumann devices, antimatter warheads, etc :
The Conventions graded Weapons of Mass Destruction into tiers of concern. Tier I is the greatest threat to galactic peace.
TIER I: Large kinetic impacters, such as asteroid drops or de-orbited space stations. Effectively free and available in any system (in the form of debris left over from planetary accretion), kinetic impacters are the weapons of choice for terrorists and "third galaxy" nations.
TIER II: Uncontrolled self-replicating weapons, such as nanotechnology, viral or bacteriological organisms, "Von Neumann devices", and destructive computer viruses. These weapons can lie dormant for millennia, waiting for a careless visitor to carry them on to another world.
TIER III: Large energy-burst weapons such as nuclear or antimatter warheads.
TIER IV: Alien species deliberately introduced to crowd out native forms necessary for the health of an ecosystem. Ecological tampering can take years to bear fruit, making it difficult to prove.
A dreadnought can fire multi kiloton fire power every 3-5 seconds, which is concentrating at one small point. It is fucking devastating.. and they won't even run out of ammo. And they have hundreds smaller sideboard mass accelerator cannons too.
There are also the distruptor torpedoes, the nearly instant tactical space ship jumps, omnitools, active electric warfare, space warfare tactics, etc.
Also for the love of gods.. the mass effect ships have abalative armor against energy weapons...
If you really want to write a fanfic where some fighting happens, not just stomping, consider the above things and use a little bit more imagination, don't stuck with the known lore :)
Good luck with the rewriting !
