![]() ![]() ![]() damn it. why did you make tevos remember what she saw from melding with the mind of the infiltrator? come on man that wasnt supposed to happen. Now the humans HAVE TO destroy all those asari ships and tech, as well as any other stolen tech of other aliens trying to copy. Humanity HAS to assert its dominance over the others trying to one-up us. |
![]() ![]() ![]() the becoan on thessia should be destroyed. it will be funny. also, that human infiltrator better have gotten everything out of that beacon. and Tavos better not have found anything from forcing her mind into the infiltrator. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really? So now we are just SUPPOSED to accept the overlord was a good guy? Yeah, he’ll nah. The ends DO NOT EVER justify the means |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really? The CULT who literally worship aliens as gods are met be, meanwhile their counters are all killed? Really!? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have no problem with humanity being overpowered. This story was great, and it's a pity it wasn't fully fleshed out. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Your Dec 29th 2100 entry contains excessive hyperbole, thereby turning the Apex from a standard-pattern DN into a one-off monster with its own unique weapons. Was this your intention? Unique warship designs are always a bad idea; which is generally why you won't find them in developed Navies and only rarely in those of smaller Nations that don't have a choice. The Logistical strains alone are damaging, as you must source, store and distribute several unique ranges of spares just for that single hull. Even worse, trying to fit a one-off into existing Fleet doctrine is expensive in resources and man-hours, while typically forcing modifications that reduce current capability in deference to what the new ship can do. Lastly, in order to have a single vessel of any particular class available for deployment, you typically need multiples of THREE in service. One undergoing refit, the second working-up and the third actually deployed. With all of that said, the above paragraph can be easily fixed. Simply note that the Apex is a sister-ship of an existing class - or even a modified version thereof. As such, its capabilities, weapons and employment envelope is well known and the ship readily slips into existing maintenance regimes and operational regeneration arrangements. Basically, this is my ship. There are many like it, but this one is mine, kind of thing. |
