I know this story is 10 years old but I've never liked the Annie thing. There is no reason they couldn't continue their relationship and maybe add Daphne. Annie doesn't seem like the jealous type at all and Daphne could probably be persuaded if it meant she'd be Lady Black.

Excellent story. I enjoyed
Harry achieving his potential, without the interference of Ron, Hogwarts cruddy teachers, Dumbles, Dursleys, the British government (backwards laws and bigotry), and a scar shaped leech. … wish his vision had been explained (no scarcrux, why visions?) and an epilogue chapter would have been welcome.

Authors comment "it is not my intent to bash magical Britain and Dumbledore"... had me asking, why not?! Magical Britan sucks nuts; it is the most backwards, racist, inefficient, corrupt government/country I've ever read about, including dystopian Vonnegut or Orwell novels. Dumbledore canonically is either the greatest manipulator and child-abuser or Greatest Undercover Dark Lord known. He is so beloved in the first 5 books and movies that only a critical reading, by an adult, might hint at how dark this guy really is, and most readers laud him even after his manipulations and child-abuse are revealed.

I really enjoyed your story.

I do hate he couldn't forgive her but I understand. To me the final nail was not that she was curious about what happened to him and wanted answers, she was always curious and wanting answers. To me it was when she shared the book with Dumbledore instead of keeping it to herself. It truly shows she is not just curious But has no respect at all for his privacy or what Dumbledore has done to his life thus far. Ron was never a good friend so no loss there. Hermione made a lot of mistakes but she was his friend and did care about her in her own convoluted way. She put herself physically between Harry and Sirius when she believed he was a murdering death eater but she proved herself untrustworthy in the long run. Hopefully she will learn from her mistake and treat her next best friend better.
