OK, you hate Hermione, you hate Ron, you hate Dumbledore. I think that really clouded your writing. It made them all one dimensional, yes they have flaws but they grow up, they have character development.
One thing you should avoid- you made Harry a Mary Sue. It's unrealistic. There's noway a 12/13 year old will become an animagus, just happen to know that Sirius Black is innocent and that Lupin has not taken his potion (in canon Snape doesn't tell him), because the whole Pettigrew revelation is overwhelming and that they would immediately know a fool proof way to apprehend Pettigrew is unrealistic.
Harry's moaning about him not being properly rewarded made him seemed spoilt and selfish, which I dont think you intended, right?
I don't mean to be scathing, so don't take this personally, but this could do with improvement.

I dislike those fics that keep saying Harry could get nowhere without Hermione, which is why I perversely love fics that show Hermione up in all her so bossy, know-it-all behaviour and show that Harry is not as stupid as he is always made out to be! Lovely plot bunny, keep them coming!

This was pretty good in the beginning. But with the quick jump to 3rd, and the later years right after; made the rest of the story seem more of a teaser. I think you have a potential 6 chapters with your usual length with this scenario/plot. While I would like to see this expounded on, I under stand that it might not be feasible. Over all on a 1-10 scale I will give this a 5. Good job.

It's interesting but the thing that continues to bug me is there is never an explanation for why Hermione is pretending? or even why it's being covered up? One key point is IF Hermione was a spy from the beginning why did she almost die from the Troll? As it was the troll found her without help before Ron and Harry locked it in. should she not have been incorporated into the trio from the beginning? it's a good story with a rather unsatisfactory ending, we need a why otherwise the Not smart thing falls flat on it Main driving point.

I always thought Harry's character was that of a lazy person who's no very inquisitive...for you to turn it around and say Hermione was mediocre instead sounds a little far-fetched right?

Although, I do like the fact that Harry was able to get his act together and stop acting like a dumb-ass ,actually study and use his resources...I think this story and 'Screw them' go a little over board in bashing at least Hermione's character. Frankly, I think a part of your story has it right. Hermione is bossy, acts like a know-it-all, is non-observant at times and is culturally retarded at least in the magical world. However, I think that the way this story is written at least in terms of Harry and Hermione's character is a little ridiculous and unbelievable.

Ron's character wasn't so far off though.

While the story itself had to reach outside cannon in order to bash Hermione, the misogyny in the comments is quite sad. And scary.

Its nice that you have addressed some of the glaring problems in canon. I liked that Harry was able to make independent decisions & was much more aware of the manipulations towards him. Wonderful.

Have you ever read an author by the name Ten Toes? There is a partially completed story of a Harry/voldemort cease fire via the Prophet.

You've done the Harry is secretly smart a couple of times.

I'd love to see you take your slythindor Harry in that kind of direction. Like a hand grenade. Have him lob it and watch Britain fall.
