Coming back here to read this story again and sobbing because we don't have the ending

I know that life and responsibilities must come first. However, I do sincerely hope that you haven't forgotten about this story. It's quite a fantastic read and one of the reasons I like it, is because you don't have the two main characters falling in love instantly. You have them work for it and you also have some other characters that are just as funny and interesting. I have to say, this is one of the best stories I've read in a while.

I sincerely hope that you are able to put out more chapters. I look forward to reading them.

(She would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind to miss that sort of advance, but now… Now it was so clear, she was becoming acutely aware of the gravity of the situation.)

Yeeaaaaah. Yes. To be honest, that has been the case since he invited Ora to a private dinner with him. Do King’s just invite bakers to dinner all the time in Middle Earth? Was it just so common that she couldn’t POSSIBLY have thought it was unique or unusual? Like “Oh! The King is inviting me to dinner! I guess it’s my turn this week since he had dinner with the muffin man last week. This is quite normal.” *raspberry sound*

(The bottom line was, the king had intentions with her, whether she understood it or not. Whether she chose to believe it or not (which she didn't, only her voice of reason was believing it, every other cell in her body was laughing at her foolishness), or whether she chose to flow with it or not.)

*face palm* Good Lord Almighty. This is worse than willful obtuseness. I feel bad for her. I feel even worse for Thorin though Life with someone so emotionally slow won’t be easy. I’m married. So I know what I’m talking about.

Hmph! Do you SEE a courtship bead in her hair, Thorin? No? Well then stop being such a grumpy wet blanket! If it’s not in her hair, then she didn’t. Duh! Lol

Awwwwwww! *swoon* Learning how to pound iron with Thorin would be a deep come true *fans herself* Go Ora! Hopefully you finally acknowledge your attraction to him after that.

There were a couple of things I got frustrated about though….
(Thorin had come to stand on her other side, in fact, he stood so close his thick arm kept brushing hers, and every time they did she wanted to jump, scream, and run away.)

Come ON! Can you at least PRETEND to enjoy yourself for our sakes? Tag me in! Lol.

(She offered him a small, nervous smile. Thorin's face stayed blank, but this eyes said something, something in a language Ora didn't understand. So, she frowned at him, and he in return rolled his eyes and shook his head, turning to look forward once more.)

Serves you right Thorin for trying to court a child She’s obviously not had her first period yet and doesn’t have hormonal dreams about sexy dwarfs at night. Find someone older, lol.

(However, Ora found herself enjoying Dis' company a lot, she was funny, smart, and they shared a common interest in that their weapon of choice was an axe.)

(He was." She replied, and for that fleeting moment before she looked away again her heart rate accelerated. Must have been those beans.)

I understand why Ora doesn’t think Thorin is into her. I get that. But I don’t understand why she doesn’t acknowledge that SHE, Ora, DOES like him? Or at least that she is attracted to him? Either Ora is actually a dultz, or she is purposefully being obtuse. I know it’s the latter but it’s not normal behavior. Have you ever liked someone and lied to yourself that you didn’t actually like them and it was the beans that you were eating that made you feel that way? I understand that she wants to convince herself that she doesn’t like him so it won’t hurt as much when she discovers (she won’t) that he doesn’t actually like her. But wouldn’t it be more normal for her to recognize these feelings inside her heart and to say “Stop it heart! You can’t like him! He’s a King for crying out loud!” Just saying.

("Dis, you shouldn't ask such questions." Snapped Thorin, making Ora blink at him questioningly for coming to her aid so brashly towards his own sister.)

Oh please. In my mind, Thorin would allow his sister to ask that because he wants to know too (if he truly likes her, then he wants to know everything about her) and it also makes Dis a scapegoat so Ora can be upset at Dis instead of him.

(Ora didn't say anything, because if she did it wouldn't have been very nice. )

*sigh* I guess I don’t really relate to Ora as a character very much. I don’t understand what motivates her. What her passion is, or what she dreams of. She just seems…..content to be a baker, I guess? She doesn’t dream of more, or of becoming more. It’s a bit disappointing. I mean… it’s good to talk about the ones that we love that have died, you know? It keeps their memory alive. They wouldn’t want us to just keep silent about them for the rest of our lives. When you keep it locked up, you dont heal. Ora needs to puncture the wound and let all the goop out. Most people, if they failed at protecting their family member would take two roads: 1. Sink down into deep misery and drink themselves to death (which obviously Ora didn’t do) and 2. Use the anguish to fuel their energy to work harder, be better, and succeed more in order to make up for the past (which she didn’t do either?) That’s why most superhero’s have someone die in their life before their powers are able to reach their full potential. I’m confused about why Ora didn’t become the best freaking sword woman in all of Middle Earth in order to “atone” for letting her brother die? It wasn’t her fault obviously but since she doesn’t understand that, it works just the same.

(Ora grumbled to herself. Knowing that if she could she was gladly trade shoes with Uli, she'd rather be carrying a bastard child than... deal with whatever the king was up to.”)

Ummm, wow? Dramatic much? You would rather betray your family honor, sacrifice your dignity, and carry a half breed child instead of…what? Spend time having dinner with a very attractive, very charismatic King/Hero and his amazing sister? Lol. I don’t understand why Thorin bothers with you in that case I mean if you’re not interested in him, then I know a bunch of people who are.

(“I'm fed up!" She fumed, pulling her arm away from Ora's grasp. "Life just eats you up, chews you, and then splits you back out again, so what is the point of trying to taste good? We all just end up the same way -as khakfe!")

Uhhh, no? Life just does that to dwarrows like you who decide to give up their virginity to a human in the hopes that the guy will love them even though he has given no sign of commitment and just wants to selfishly use you for his own pleasure. And now you’re learning the hard way that, no, love actually doesn’t work like that. It’s like my girl, Beyoncé, says; If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it! Or in your case, a bead.

I love this story you’ve created. But the attitude of Ora and Uli are so immature that I feel a little embarrassed for them, lol.

Like, how though? I mean, she didn’t cause the boy to fall into the lake. She didn’t cause the paint to splash onto the King. She didn’t spill deer guts on herself and then run into the King. She didn’t start the fight with Fraugh. She finished it, sure, but she didn’t cause it. She’s really not a troublemaker It really does just find her. So shut up Ava!
