yatayata chapter 8 . 9/13/2022 he's got a Pokedex? |
OiWatchitEarthGirl chapter 16 . 4/12/2022 This is probably one of my favorite stories and one that I'll read over and over again I hope you write more stories one day |
Silverleone chapter 16 . 3/4/2021 I don't know if you're still active on here. It's been around 7 years since you posted this. I gotta leave this though. I'm highly impressed with the whole story. I read all of it in just two days, and I'm glad/sad it's over. Glad because it was an amazing story and I wanted to know the ending, by the way, not because I hated it! I was a little sad that Sam never got to see Skye again, but the polt was made infinitely more interesting by turning away from taking him back in time more than once. In reference to one of the topics in your note at the end, I actually am one of the religious people in the world who believes fully in the paranormal. I'm an empathic medium, (very basic terms, but it covers the bases nonetheless) meaning I have the ability to feel when spirits are in my general vicinity, and even sometimes tell who they are and their intentions. (This also extends to those who are still living in many cases, though that lies mostly in their emotions and less of their presence.) Granted it's hard for some people to believe in my gift, even those who believe in whatever afterlife they do(I don't descriminate). But, they chose what they close their eyes to so it's no water off of my back. I do agree that it is interesting how even the most devoted followers of faiths can dismiss the experiences they have personally had. Anyways, enough deep talk. I ramble...lol I honestly did enjoy this, well, novel! The dragons actually talking was a cool twist. Hope you're having a good life! ~Silveleone |
Arctic Wolf Fury chapter 16 . 7/31/2020 An amazing story, well worth the read |
4812 chapter 16 . 10/29/2018 There seems to be a touch of magic in this story that left me more excited about the future than I have been in a long time. No clue how you did it, but I thank you for what you have written. |
Blackberry Avar chapter 16 . 6/20/2018 You make us all proud. Remember this work, and revel in it, for it will never be truly forgotten. Plus one. Best thing I've ever read. |
TheWizardofOzbourne chapter 16 . 10/30/2017 I think this is the first OC that I've ever cared about in a fandom. This story was excellent on all fronts from research to grammar and structure. It was truly a pleasure to read. |
RedHawkdude chapter 16 . 12/20/2016 I must state a few points here. 1.) This is one hell of a well written and researched story. 2.) You are one great writer and I am about to try and find more of works shortly. 3.) Thank you for this excellent story. |
Sai chapter 16 . 11/17/2016 Well... damn. What an amazing story you have there. I am honestly surprised it hasnt received more acclaim within the HTTYD fanfic community, but from personal experience i know that stories that do not feature H/T as the main characters and stories set in the 'present/future' are not really quite as popular as those that follow the script more closely. Still, thank you very much for this jewel, and though i expected a 'return to the past' at some point (if for no other reason than to have more H/T appear), it worked out even better than I expected in the end. Overall, I just cant believe I missed out on this story for YEARS... After the second chapter, I just couldnt put it down until I read it to the end :) |
discardless chapter 16 . 1/16/2016 Your story truly captured me; thank you for creating this universe. I appreciate your insights into the guts of what I'm typing on right now - they were spot on, it doesn't take a genius to tell that you know what you are writing about. Hollywood could learn a thing or two here. More so, I am fascinated by the diversity of knowledge about different cultures and ethical issues in your story - "Hiccup's" reaction to Sam's description of the modern world would match mine. But! There is one unanswered question: How did Sam get his TLC chip, and what was its purpose? I also think I may have spotted a minor slip-up: In chapter 15, grep for "It was replaced by still images of the same news clips Kate had shown Sam months ago"; wasn't it Bryan and John at Tesla's Basement who dug these articles out? I'd appreciate a response in case you still stick your nose into these comments :). Fair winds and good hunting! |
Pietersielie chapter 16 . 12/23/2015 Awesome story, and a truly creative plotline. Thanks so much for the honour of reading it! |
PersonifyThis chapter 10 . 7/21/2015 Poor Sam. Too many damn anomalies is right. Another solid chapter of writing. Oh and non of your OCs feel forced (no Mary Sues here) everything is really natural. That's part of the reason I'm enjoying this so much :) I like Paddy and the random blasts of memory that slip out. Although I feel like if I was saying that many bizarre things I'd start to take notice a little sooner, especially getting over a crippling fear all of a sudden. But trauma does funny things to people. |
PersonifyThis chapter 9 . 7/21/2015 First off, I love the quotes you put at the beginning of each chapter. There is thought in them and I like that. Second, I can't believe he went back! I mean yes, it's fitting to his character, but even still! Dragons! And Skye! How could he leave her! But at least the Terrible Terrors got to come along. Third, oh snap memory wiping? Bad people is right Nalu! And what is this New Berk? I also think Sam would be a great liaison! Although I have to be honest Lt. Dashiell, just following orders doesn't cut it as an excuse. |
PersonifyThis chapter 8 . 7/21/2015 So I'm officially binge reading this. It seems to be the week for that :) I love anything with the stars. Throw in some cool constellation talk and you've got me for the whole story. Am I sensing some Star Gate bits leaking through? Maybe as an inspiration? Either way it's quite good. I'm not terribly familiar with the series but I have seen a bit and I feel like that would certainly explain... a lot. |
PersonifyThis chapter 7 . 7/21/2015 If I had any artistic talent I'd draw this scene in a heartbeat. Actually I'd like Pixar to animate it. Flying through the Northern Lights is something I'd never considered, but definitely makes sense for how far north Berk is. And Skye! What a regal Nightfury! Man. She seems so wise and in control. The talking thing? Cool! Is it possible Sam has it because it's been passed down from his (potential) Haddock ancestry? Ohhh the plot thickens! And there was a reviewer that said this doesn't take place in the world enough. I think they're crazy. It doesn't get more HTTYD-y than this. And so well done too! Really original and funny and intriguing. Damn am I glad I found this. |
