![]() ![]() ![]() Man, this was some story. Just binged this and the prequel, and it was an amazing ride. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Excited for another sequel of this story |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yo, this is giving some Naruto vibes! Hahaha! Honestly, though this story is awesome! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Amazing bonus chapter to close out this legendary story! This chapter has it all, from character writing to worldbuilding to epic fights as we’ve come to expect! Right off the bat I’ll just say that I think my favorite part of the chapter was seeing Brandon’s redemption. Legacy ended with him giving up on his psychopathic ambitions and beginning to make amends for his actions but it was really cool to see actual concrete contributions to public safety coming from him. Plus, it was dope to see him fighting ALONGSIDE Ash and the other Ketchums as opposed to against him/them as we saw toward the end of Legacy. It’s also great that he lost an arm, showing the ramifications of his actions in Legacy in that he isn’t nearly as powerful as before. Overall I loved Brandon in this chapter for those aforementioned reasons as well as, ironically, getting to see him as Sir Aaron again. Legacy begins with us knowing he’s the head of Shinonome and him having some sort of feelings toward Ash, but it was dope to see him as the shadowy enigma again, as well as expanding on his relationship with Ghetsis, which we talked about in PMs. Overall, he’s gotta be one of my favorite characters in the story (along with Dante). Starting from the beginning, I really liked how you expanded the world into Galar, which I think I said before. It makes total sense for a region unconnected to the rest of the world to easily fall victim to someone as powerful as a Knight of Shadow. Also speaking of the Knight, the fact that Meowth was basically placed into a human body is dope as hell. So talking about the fight, I gotta say it really reminded me of Ash vs Ghetsis. It was sort of like a return to form with the actual pokemon vs pokemon battling and the Void-tainted pokemon. But it also combined the scale of Aura from Legacy, and it think it was a really nice blend. I also have to mention that the fight as a whole is so impressive because of how many characters it involves all against one other character. To have Ash, Dawn- a World Leader, the legendary Guardian Brandon, and Ash’s daughter- the “Legacy of Aura” all against one guy and have it last over 20k words is damn impressive lol. And it doesnt feel like any of the protagonists were nerfed either, not beyond what would be expected I mean. The climax of the fight was great. I think you struck a perfect balance for letting each character shine. Of course this is Ash’s story so he got a very important moment, paralleling the climax of Ash vs Brandon, but I like how you weaved Charlotte into it. You made the “passing of the torch” thing you were going for very smooth, and it didnt feel out of place or anything. Especially since you brought the Original One back, it made total sense that Ash killed it, and then Charlotte was left to finish off Meowth. All in all, it just works perfectly. One last thing I have to say it I really liked Meowth’s death, particularly the flashback to his time with Jessie and James chasing Pikachu. Very wholesome, and easy to forget his origins reading the rest of the chapter, but it makes him sympathetic even after everything. I really liked James’ character in Legacy, so it was cool to see that side of him again here in the bonus chapter. Anyways that’s all for now, sorry it took so long! I await the next chapter of WoS patiently and anything else you have planned :] |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was the entire time since Team Rocket was captured in the previous story wondering where on Earth Meowth was |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well I decided to give this another chance and its not as bad as I first thought. Glad Ash came back to himself and had a family with Dawn. |
![]() ![]() Ash feels way too ooc here. Sorry but I dont think I'll be reading further. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Words are not enough to say how great this story is! One of the best story ever and also one of the best Pearlshipping fic ever! Thanks for this masterpiece! |

![]() ![]() ![]() Fin. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Neato, didn't see Meowth coming as the new villain, and I definitely didn't expect him to be as competent as he was. Anyhow great chapter as usual. Hopefully you've got some other stories now that this one is over. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The only thing I can say that's similar to this is: A fight inspired from Dragonball Super and My Hero Academia. The Fist of Creation was almost like the United States of Smash. GO BEYOND! PLUS ULLLTRRRRRAAAAAAA! this was really inspiring and I loved every single chapter. If you make another series, I will follow it wholeheartedly, your words and sentence structure inspire me to do better with my own. Hope you stay strong my brother. Anyways, I'm glad I found you and this series. Also, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! |

![]() ![]() Man it’s been a crazy ride. I don’t remember exactly when I managed to stumble on to ash and dawn the Unova chapter but I was rather young and looking for a good pearlshipping story I’m also I huge fan of the Unova Region so it worked perfectly. I was amazed and completely enticed by how you managed to keep it so much like the show but also add your own flair that made it so much better and how you developed these characters and the story itself. So imagine my delight and excitement when I found you were making a sequel to that amazing work of art. At that point I think this story only had a few chapters which I went to read eagerly. You would update semi regularly which was a good sign for me so I tried to be patience and would check every so often for updates. However soon you seemed to stop updating as frequently with several months going by without an update. I almost lost hope but I would still go on to check on this story every couple months or so or whenever I would remember. About two years ago now I saw you ramp updates slightly after I thought the story had died and i became hooked again. Around the time the story was about to end around chapter 19 or 20 the updates seemed to slow again and I became worried again. Until today I thought about the story again almost 4 months since I last checked and to my excitement and sadness this has finally been finished. 4 years. What a crazy amount of time so much has happened in it and I’m just so glad you managed to finish this story and give it the ending it deserved. I don’t know if you plan to write anymore or anything else but just know that these stories have touched me and so many other people dearly and whatever you choose to do next in life you have truly created a masterpiece that I have been so fortunate to have the pleasure of reading. Thank you and good luck to you in your future endeavors. |
