Olaf74 chapter 7 . 6/16 AMAZING! |
Guest chapter 1 . 2/6 It's ridiculous how much crap some authors make up just 1. so they can then either have their characters get all worked up about how bad the state of things is (like that ridiculous idea that "muggle" or "muggleborn" is somehow a bad word, when even Hermione never had a problem with that word at any point in any of the seven books. Or how about those awfully poor chances for muggleborns to get a job - something that isn't canon either? In fact, there was almost no discrimination going on at all in canon. No teacher ever even mentioned anyone's "blood status" (a word which, I believe, has been made up by some fanfic author too), businesses will logically want people who are qualified and worth the money they're paid rather than incompetent idios just because they are purebloods, the Ministry doesn't seem to discriminate much either in canon (there even was a muggleborn Minister once; there admittedly is some nepotism there, but that isn't really aimed against muggleborns or anyone, it just benefits those with connections, which muggleborns don't have) and that evil m-word isn't used in canon nearly as much as in fanfictions, because even those who would use it know better than to do so in polite society, because they know it isn't accepted) or 2. to show how much better things are elsewhere, like your completely made up "fact" that werewolves have an "internationally recognized" disease. Yeah, right. Just because you said so? And therefore, just because you said so, everything in Britain is crap and therefore Harry's side is right and BAM! Instant story. And for what? This entire story (including the prequel) seems completely pointless. Nothing more than a great "Look how great my story is, in which I remove all those grave injustices and other things that are wrong, which all only exist because I totally made them up." Too bad that's not how it works: If it is based entirely on bullshit, then the result will be bullshit too. |
blcoachmac chapter 1 . 12/25/2023 Kill a few of them and send a message! |
Corwyn chapter 7 . 7/29/2023 A lovely story. Thank you for sharing it with us. |
Nulled Void chapter 7 . 7/26/2023 good |
KoldT chapter 7 . 1/9/2023 Enjoyable story. |
Armiture chapter 7 . 12/8/2022 Yes, a third story would wrap this theme up with the revelation of the updated magical world. Hmm, "The Statute of Secrecy is Screwed" could work as a title. |
Armiture chapter 4 . 12/8/2022 Yeah, that last paragraph really lays out one of the biggest challenges of updating Hogwarts. Teaching longtime conservatives to think for themselves isn't easy, especially when they are resistant to changing their ways. |
Armiture chapter 3 . 12/8/2022 So far, so good. Nothing too unexpected, I expected the purge to be larger than four but the volunteers to retire were a bit of a surprise to me and it shouldn't have been. Even the younger teachers were resistant to making changes, even if they for the better. |
Armiture chapter 2 . 12/8/2022 The reality of being between the proverbial Rock and Hard Place is sinking in for Scrimgeour. Did Bones get killed like in canon HP? Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Fudge sacked her because she failed to capture the "Fine Upstanding Citizens" before they got killed while attempting a murder spree on innocent non-magicals. |
Armiture chapter 1 . 12/8/2022 Honestly, I was hoping those stupid purebloods would drown in the swamp, get bitten by venomous snakes, and/or eaten by alligators imported from the US. |
bibliopuff chapter 7 . 7/7/2022 nice story, i like the schooling details. thank you |
Sensorybuzz chapter 7 . 4/23/2022 Wonderful story. Thanks for writing. |
yochan123 chapter 7 . 4/22/2022 great story. I love the magical primary school idea and giving ppl access to media and again bringing them into the 21st century which basically no other fanfic has done, and this is really neat. it's kinda like how i think about the wizarding world after voldemort's defeat like...WHAT NEXT? You live in this medieval hovel while others have tvs and phones and then what? |
yochan123 chapter 6 . 4/22/2022 s they pay good money for their children's education, it is only right to allow them to get informed how the child does in its classes. It's for the same reason that we are adding a second report card after the first semester." for real it's like a complete black hole with how dumbles hid everything major that happened too! i would be outraged to know of students being petrified AND STAFF DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BAOUT IT The more the mundane technology develops, the more probable is an accident being filmed and ending up on the internet, which is a platform that mundanes all over the world can access, if they have the technology for it, which is also common. It is only a question of when, not it, that we are found out. And it doesn't even have to be in our country, it could be in France, America or Africa. We don't know. But what is absolutely clear is that we need to be ready then. Our people need to be able to move among the mundanes as if it was the most normal thing in the world, which it should be. yup The mundanes are only kept out of very small parts of the country. About half of our people live in villages next to mundanes. Only few have old estates to that the mundanes can't get. And still, their planes fly over them and can take pictures from the air. No ward can prevent that, as they only fool the human eye. They are asking questions when they don't understand something." this idiot man |
