Reviews for Living Water |

![]() ![]() ![]() Aww, this story was so cute! I don't understand how it was only 25,000 words long, it really does seem longer than that. Some parts made me laugh while others just made me 'awwww' so hard because your OC is so adorable! I do commend you for being able to write an OC that fits with Haru. To be honest, this story is actually the first Free! OC fic that I've really liked. Christine isn't a Mary Sue; she has her own flaws and an actual personality. And your characterization of Haru is perfect, and the others in this epilogue were not OOC at all. I love your other OCs like Christine's friend and the others...whose names I forgot... Sorry... Another thing that I love about this story is the premise. Like, when's the last time you've read another fanfic with biblical themes? This is the first one for me. I love how you manage to bring so many parts of the bible back to water, that's amazing! Sometimes stories with a religious theme annoy people because not everyone is religious and not everyone's religion matches. I'm not a Christian, but none of your bible verses and holy kisses bothered me. TL;DR: Great writing, unique plot, realistic OC. I don't know if I'll check out your sequel, since sequels just don't sit well with me. But I'll try since this story was so amazing and the idea of Christine meeting Gou and the others makes me squeal. Totally favoriting this. (Oh I just realized Christine's name sounds like Christian. Was that intentional?) |
![]() ![]() ![]() absolutely loved this! One of the best I've read. A one shot of her meeting the rest of the boys would be really cool, or one of them going to Japan. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I re-read this yesterday and realized I missed the last three chapters. As a recent Catholic revert, I really enjoyed reading your fic (with its biblical quotes and all). I love the relationship between Haru and your OC. I found his confusion over some of the miracles Jesus performed (turning water into wine, walking on water, etc.) hilarious. It was a treat to read and different from other fics I've read. That's why this story has been getting more and more attention. So good job and I'm looking forward to reading more from you. -Caroline |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay yay yay |
![]() ![]() ![]() I myself am not a Christian, but i grew up in a church all my life and i can honestly say this is one of the most well written fan-fictions i have ever read, and i really did get so much spiritually out of this. More than i get sitting in Sunday School everyday, so thank you and keep writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love it. Sincerely. And I truly appreciate it as a Catholic. And Haruka is soooo perfect! With almonds but, hey. And Christine is sooooooooooooooooooooo ideal. For Haruka. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awww |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really loved this :) You depicted Haru so well and this ,made me grin so much! :) |
![]() ![]() Dear author, I want to say thank you for writing a story like this. It's quite apparent that Christ is a big aspect of your life and I genuinely admire you for that. c: I hope to someday achieve the same level of faith you yourself possess. This is my favourite OC/Haruka story. Keep up the brilliant work! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, I did in fact catch that reference, and promptly fell out of my chair laughing. My mother says I need therapy. :I |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story is literally my favourite Haru/OC fic here in your style of writing is just so beautiful and gives me the right amount of fEELS THANK YOU FOR WRITING SUCH A LOVELY STORY 3 |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. This was good. Like it ties up the er gaps I guess. Yay for Haru-pyon getting a girlfriend who can travel on the same wavelength as him and jumping into lake water with him lol. that skype chat was cute, she meets the rest of the group eh? man Haru is spouting so much quotes he probably could preach in a church as long as the reading was water related haha. nice way of linking the 'hoooly kiss' from previous chapters to the end. great job with this as well btw, I normally get pissed an ditch stories with a lame school sorta setting (cough typical ff stories) but hey you put in a new and very unique twist. congrats. There's your happy ending. btw, aishiteru isn't really commonly used except in anime and stuff since Japanese people are pretty..modest? suki da yo or suki in general instead of ai is typically more common. Or maybe I'm living among really guarded people ha. |
![]() ![]() ![]() *slow clap* Wow. I managed to finish this all in one sitting. The wording is nicely done and everything flows so yay. Sorry, at some points the religious stuff brought back horrifying memories of cramming bible quotes for exegesis' that I had to write back in high school so I skimmed through them. However, the way you make it less boring by using Haru-pyon to interpret it for the reader is hilarious. Who knows, maybe Kyoani will get an offer from some Church to promote religion among the otaku, weeaboo and fans? lol. Typicalof Haru-pyon to keep spacing out and shuffling along at his own pace lol. Rose was quite an interesting character, not exactly a cheerleader or a doormat friend but sorta someone who helped keep things in perspective? dunno haha. Daaw, that cute ending. They finally . also Haru-pyon was able to learn something and apply it to real life. Good job Christine haha. lol |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like how simple minded Haru-pyon is and you've got his character nailed 100%. The exchanges he has with other people are hilarious to read too. lol classswimming. How simple minded is our Haru eh? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loved reading this story. And in a pseudo way, I love you too. |
