|Reviews for The Ringmaster|
| Rin-Gildy chapter 1 . 1/18
Freaking hell, your writing is incredible. I enjoy it so, so much, every single time (I have binge read your series several times). Your characters are just perfect and wonderful, and as awful and screwed up as the Joker is, I can't help but adore him. Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing this.
| Suit of Storms chapter 22 . 1/5
To say this story is well written as an understatement. You've created and expanded on characters so well that your interpretation can easily be as loved as the originals.
I love the idea of Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Oswald Cobblepot. The way that you've written his character is fascinating, you knew which aspects of his character to keep, which to reinvent, and which to toss away altogether.
I also like that what happened in Malady has such major repercussions. Although Joker knew she might survive, she could easily have died too. And on top of that, he left her for the police to be in a place she hates for months. What's so chilling about this and also your other scenes with the Joker is that it's easy to see these scenes being canon.
Another scene that is excellent is where Harley first sees the Joker after she comes home. That he would treat her the way he did is sad, but I don't think it could have been written any other way. What's also great is that after being isolated from him for so long, she feels somewhat afraid, it reminds me of how she describes him in Bad Jokes as an animal and a predator.
I like how you describe him seeing things but having some idea if they are real or not most of the time. That's something you don't see many author's tackle with Ledger Joker, and you do it very well.
I also like the idea of the murder date. It makes sense that Harley would prefer to target wicked people, and I love the terrifying idea of Joker decoys. And the scene where Harley stomps on Joker after he lets her up is hilarious :)
It was awesome how Eddie was playing everyone off each other for his own benefit. You wrote him so well that I could practically see his smug little face as I read.
I hope you continue writing for the Bad Jokes series, I could go on and on about how much I love it.

So popping in for another review. Just to say how much I still enjoy Bad Jokes and The Ringmaster! I wish I could somehow get hard copies of them. Or at least a paperback. They would be very loved and creased.
| The Freaks chapter 22 . 9/13/2016
Al Capone was finally brought to justice from reigning as mob boss on the terms of insurance fraud, I believe. I was just thinking that was funny. Also the "aggressively wearing his clothes was funny". And I LOVE that you put in the part about the joker fan club, it was hilarious! Anyway, i love this book, and the previous as well.
| Rin-Gildy chapter 12 . 9/12/2016
Woah. I actually can't quite think of the words to describe how...intense and accurate and amazing this chapter is. This story has turned canon for me; whenever I watch TDK, I imagine that this is what comes afterwards. Seriously mind blowing.

Ok, so I already left a review about two week ago. However, after getting into the comics and the animated series a bit more (all because of you btw, I'm not much of a comic book person), and re-reading your Bad Jokes series (yeah, I read your 280k words series twice in two weeks. Holidays are nice, and procrastinations is my favourite past time.) I just have to write another review to gush about how amazing your characterizations of Harley and the Joker are.
In all of the canon Harley origin stories I know, and in Suicide Squad as well, her fall always happens so fast, and I'm just not buying it. One minute she's a perfectly sane, intelligent doctor, and the next she's in love with the Joker and helps him escape? I dunno. But your Harley's development felt completely plausible. She and the Joker actually have some deep, insightful conversations, Harley thinks about the Joker's view of life, and only falls for him once she starts to see and agree with his side. She also doesn't bust him out of Arkham. I simply adore her development in Bad Jokes. (On a slightly unrelated note, I'm so happy that your Harley always wears flat shoes when she's out to kick ass, especially after watching Suicide Squad and seeing the absolutely ridiculous high heels they put Margot Robbie in.)
And your Joker... man, your Joker is so great. You write Heath Ledger's version of the Joker so perfectly. While reading any of your fics I can picture him in my head doing and saying everything you describe in your stories. It's like a really vivid movie in my head, and for me that has never happened with any fanfic, ever. It's the way you emphasise his way of speaking, I think, putting some words and letters in italics and adding three dots whenever he pauses. You also incorporated elements from the animated series and comics into your version of the Joker really well, which I'm only noticing now because I hadn't actually watched the animated series or read any of the comics except for The Killing Joke. Hats off to your absolutely amazing writing skills.
tl,dr: I adore the ever-loving hell out of you right now, and you've become one of my absolutely favourite fanficion writers ever.

Sooo I just spend a week straight reading all your work on this series and I just LOVE it! I feel like you compliment every great aspects of the characters (and although I don't know THAT much about the comics characters or anything, I could just feel like they were the real deal.) The way you incorporated Harley Quinn hearing voices was great, and if I have anything to say is I wanted some more of that (maybe all alone in Cobblepot's murder basement?), but it was great anyway! This love/hate/pain sorta relationship the couple have is just amazing and I wish it never ended. Bad Jokes was amazingly written, well thought throught and just plain awesome to read. You've got real talent and I'm going to be there if you EVER decide to publish/finish the next sequel. Can't wait to see what the couple has in store for Eddie (Awesome job with Nygma btw, I did not see that one coming!)
Hope to read you again on this pairing soon!

funny, she hasn't even thought of her best friend in, ah, quite a while...
| yimello chapter 22 . 8/31/2016
Woohoo, what a ride. I loved all three installments of the Bad Jokes series, and I'm happy I found your fics, but at the same I don't know what to do with my life right now. Either be productive now that I've finished the series, or read your other fics. Probably the latter.
Also, this is the second time in the Bad Jokes series that you've had the Joker and Harley drive away from an explosion in the finale of the story. That should totally become a trend if you ever decide to write more about those two, because it's hella cool.
| Achelina chapter 12 . 8/19/2016
This chapter is amazing, truly. I loved your take on the Joker's mind.
| 073205007 chapter 22 . 8/14/2016
I hope that you choose to write a continuation of this story as my friends and I would be most thrilled to read more of Harley's adventures.
| Rin-Gildy chapter 22 . 8/9/2016
Wow. Okay. I have no idea what to do with my life now that I've finished this, because it's genuinely one of the best fanfics I've ever read. Thank you for writing it, so that I could have the absolute pleasure of reading it :)
| Caticature chapter 22 . 3/13/2016
loved the sequel! thank you for posting it! I look forward to more stories between the joker and Harley!
| MoniArdley chapter 22 . 2/25/2016
I am a fan. I read the bad joke series and I loved it! It was just great. Keep writing more about Harley and J. Your description of their dynamics as a couple is just great!
| Anna10473 chapter 22 . 2/7/2016
I love all your Joker and Harley stories and never want them to end! I don't know if you are planning on writing more for them, but I would definitely read! You also created rich characterizations of Poison Ivy, the Penguin, and the Riddler, as well as the Joker ' s henchmen. If I may suggest, an interesting and emotional plot line for a future story could be what happens if Harley gets pregnant by the Joker ? I know other authors have portrayed this, but I would love to read your take on this. Please keep on writing. Thank you.
