That was awesomely funny! You did great with all the fine details of Trek, although the battle was a little too rushed...you know how they are about not attacking and using minimal force in response to threats...But the ending was worth the Great job!

I like it so far I can't wait for more to come.

My problem with this is that the Cylons are Artificial Intelligences, or AIs, and strong AIs at that. They would very quickly reach what is considered by many to be a technological singularity. Forget the techno babble. What this means essentially is this: The computational capabilities of the Cylons would very quickly far outstrip anything that humanity could put together. {In my admittedly not so humble opinion, this was pretty much the only flaw of the reimagined series with regards to how Cylons should be.}
And when you consider that necessity is the mother of invention, the humans would not have allowed their own computer programming skills to stagnate - not in the face of the threat posed by the Cylons. It is not an unreasonable assumption that given the threat posed by the Cylons, the computer skills of the humans from the Twelve Colonies would advance by leaps and bounds. So much so that their computer sciences could very well be superior to those of the Federation. Their one handicap was that they could never risk networking their computers for fear that the Cylons would take them over. In a nutshell, the military and civilian sector of the Twelve Colonies could not be networked together because of the threat posed by the Cylons' programming skills.
But the Federation, on the other hand, would have everything networked together. And while they did advance their computer sciences to remarkable levels, they never really faced a threat like the Cylons. Even the Borg were only marginally more capable then the Federation when it came to computer sciences. Their technology was more geared towards brute force assimilation then the subtleties of computer hacking.
Yes, the Federation starships would inflict horrendous casualties upon the Cylons initially. But in the end, the Federation's own networked computer systems would be their undoing. And, too, the Cylons would be able to very quickly adapt the Federation's technology to work for them. And yes, before his death Data was a very important asset for the Federation in this regard and would no doubt have caused the Cylons a great deal of grief before he, too, was reprogrammed by the Cylons.
In short, although the Federation would be technologically superior to the Cylons in most regards, but the Cylons would definitely outstrip the Federation in Computer Sciences, even with the Bynars helping them. And THAT is all they would need to win.
