| Jaslyn chapter 3 . 7/25/2014 So far so good. I like the story...even if it is off cannon it is an interesting POV. Many fanfiction stories depict Amanda as some sort of post-divorce virgin. I don't buy it. Amanda grew up in the 70's/80's with a very "free spirited" mother not in the 50's when the idea of women having sexual needs were taboo. In the episode "Wrong Way Home" when the Dorm "mom" told Lee she could tell him stories about Amanda in college, I am fairly certain she wasn't referring to Amanda's underwater basket weaving skills. I love Amanda's assertiveness in your story and it is not out of character at all. In more than one instance, Amanda took offense to Lee's comments that "she was not the type" (filing Raul and with the Baron sex scandal). If she was "not the type" then why would she get so defensive. Besides, There was no denying the tension between the two characters - they did not wait until marriage to consummate their relationship! Look forward to reading more... |
