Reviews for Hermione Granger and the Marriage Law Revolution |

![]() ![]() ![]() Good story. I liked it. It's interesting to read in all these HP stories how you've keep some characters the same all the way through. Sally-Anne comes to mind atm. I think I've only one more HP story to read, then I might venture into some of your other stories. It's nice to find an author's stories I really like. Kind regards. |
![]() ![]() I must say, the Dumbledorian apologists flipping out in the reviews is almost as entertaining as the story itself. Like that person desperately hanging onto the word "mundane" like it's some gotcha, as if canon's liberal use of "magical mundane concept" isn't 5 times more annoying, and totally doesn't point out how unimaginative, backwards and hypocritical the magical community is by ripping ideas off the normal world and still pretending they're superior. Or the one that claims that they liked the magical world being "fanciful and nonsensical", as if that absolves them of being disgustingly bigoted and corrupted to the point that third world despots would probably look like saints. But the best is the people trying to play down McGonagall's faults, in the exact same manner that the Hogwarts faculty keeps letting bullies and literal Death Eaters off practically scot-free for their assaults on the "undesirables". |
![]() ![]() ![]() A very enjoyable story. The battle parts were realistically portrayed as far as my 45 year hobbyist level of the study of war. I can easily see this AU world of class system existing. I whole heartily agree with the "Happy Ending" because IRL the world kinda sucks. Favorite Author and Story. Also have started reading "Patron", very nice so far. Both this and 'Patron' are in less than lovely AU world it just makes for a different background that works so well. |
![]() ![]() With all due respect, the North American colonies rebelled before England banned slavery. Ergo, the statement makes no sense unless all magical were Confederacy affiliated. |
![]() ![]() Why does something like this even exist... |
![]() ![]() Wish they improved the filters so people could avoid this trash |
![]() ![]() I'm still not sure what poor old Minerva did to deserve being treated like shit by Hermione. Is it simply that she represents the "old guard" - the ones who might take a few points off Draco for calling people mudblood but who really didn't have the power, or honestly the gumption, to at least try to change the pureblood doctrine? Is it that she didn't dramatically quit her job and dramatically flounce off to Diagon Alley to dramatically denounce all purebloods everywhere...dramatically? Is it that Minerva didn't welcome a ruthless, cold-hearted anarchist to her bosom with open arms and wee drams of the nectar? I realize that Hermione and Harry are supposed to come off as hardened war heroes being all ruthless and cold-hearted and yadda, but honestly Hermione, mostly, is just coming off as a bitch being a bitch for bitching's sake. |
![]() ![]() I remember reading this before and even then feeling sad but also a bit confused about Arthur distancing himself from H/Hr given his fanatical? obsession? with muggles. It would seem like he of all people should have been in their corner because I don't remember him being "traditional pureblood" at all. I can see MOLLY being that way, and Ron priding himself on being a pureblood, though. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A MUST READ story, post Hogwarts, full of grit and more realistic than canon. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story has been fascinating and delightful. Everyone is consistent, the plots all make sense, the action is awesome. Thank you |
![]() ![]() ![]() thanks |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loved this story! Thank you very much for sharing it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have read many battle scenes in fan fiction, but I think yours has to be the best. Between the overlapping spells, borrowed ancient artifact, Honey We Shrunk the Kids moment, and the description of Harry's power, I was hugely impressed. Thank you very much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm enjoying this story very much, but this chapter was my favorite, so far. Luna's description of the others and nargles was impressive, and gave more insight into her character than I have ever read. I also enjoyed the glimpses into other minds, especially Draco's and Augusta's. Thank you very much for writing, even though you are keeping me up waaaaayyy past my bedtime, lol. |
![]() ![]() McGonagall is too senile to keep her position. She was told that there aren't "internal affairs" anymore not ten minutes earlier. How could she have forgotten that in such a short time? Okay, she was well conditioned to keep everything secret for decades. Still, not even ten minutes? |
