Only sick people would write something like this. I can't believe people like this pairing. This pairing is wrong on all levels. Kouga and Ayame pairings are NOT BORING. They are canon - NOT FANON. Kouga should NEVER be paired with anyone other than Ayame - otherwise it is wrong - especially pairing him with Kagura.

Two years ago I read Venganza and somehow I forgot to leave a review (Usually I tend to leave a review when I liked a fanfiction). Well, here is my belated review.

At that time I was looking for a good Inuyasha fanfic. I’m tired of the same pairings (Sess/Kagome or Inu/Kagome), so I was looking up short fanfics which includes Kouga. There were a bunch of Yaoi stories (which are not my cup of tea) and some in which he was paired up with Kagome and Ayame- Pairings which are really boring. And yeah so I found your story. At first I thought: “What the hell, Kagura?! The same woman who slaughtered his whole clan?!” But since your story had so many favs and reviews, I tried it out.

And damn, I’m so glad I did.

Absolutely brilliant. Although you have a quite simple writing style, you could portray so many feelings. The fluff, their inner struggle, the slow buildup of romance- hats off! Absolutely convincing without any OOCness. The only thing which bothered me: Somehow I couldn’t finish your story. I reached chapter 10 or 11 and then I couldn’t finish it (I can’t remember why. I know that’s weird. Maybe because of college stuff), although it is already in my favorite list. Currently I’m rereading it and it is just like the first time: absolutely lovely.

Why my review is so long and I’m running riot: You accomplished something, which is mastered just by a few authors- because of this convincing tale you made me actually ship both because. You girl/boy, did a great job! Thank you!

GYAAAAAAAAAH! You have no idea how enticing this story was! I stayed up all night to finish it LOL! If it weren't for spring break, I'll be screwed for my morning classes today.

Oh gawd, where to begin? First of all, a most unlikely pairing, but you made their chemistry undeniably hot. Second, I am laughing my butt of here. "Fleshy yodeling" from a low youkai? I couldn't stop pounding on the table. Third, you managed to create a believable way for Kagura to resolve tension with the wolf tribe and be with Kouga. At first I was afraid the couple would never work out because of such, but alas, you never fail to surprised us. All thanks to Sango and her "beguiling" :D

I love this so very non-canon pairing! And simply adore your writing style. Look forward to seeing more works from you!

good stuff, need more stories!

Okay, so I've read through Beso and Soledad and have developed a somewhat obsessive love for them. I adore this fic as well, but this chapter's conversation about dating and Kouga's dating history is... I don't know, not, in my opinion, up to par with the rest of your material. I think that in his own way, Kouga loved at least the idea of Kagome. Of course he didn't know her as well or have as deep a connection as he does with Kagura, but i think he admired her compassion, courage, etc, and saw her as more than just a shard detector. I think he truly believed he was in love with her, which I think would take perhaps more time and introspection to move on from than was explicitly given throughout Venganza. That said, i do truly enjoy reading Kouga and Kagura's interactions and I think that what you've written is beautiful and emotional, i think i just wanted to see a little more of Kouga's process of redefining what love means to and for him, and Kagura's exploration of feelings that she wasn't aware she could have. I don't mean this in any way to be a flame; I really do appreciate your work and I'm glad that you put it out to share!
