Will Ichigo meet a young Retsu Unohana as well? Wasn't she with Shunsui and Jushrio at that time? I don't remember Bleach that much anymore... I stopped at the Winter War saga, so I'm really rusty at this knowledge.

It's prologue at the beginning of a story, epilogue is at the end.

Well, I read through all of the current chapters in one session and I must say I'm impressed.
You do the "The past was terrible and everybody I loved died..." thing that is quickly getting as old as Naruto "Getting attacked by the villagers" theme, but you executed it well and thus your story is quite high in my books. Your grammar is pretty good, I've only spotted three mistakes that I cared to remember. The only thing I'm concerned about is, that the next time skip will be a big one, which would be sad, because the tale you are weaving is still rather unique.
With all that said, I thank you for sharing this great fic with us.

brutal ending... can't wait for more! I really hope he doesn't develop some fakeness routine, or ability for that matter. I'd hate to see all of ichigo dissapear in there... but if he did I think you'd do a good job of growing the character rather than rehashing the same ichigo.

im gonna be honest, your focusing too much on ichigos angst and its making the story seem go slow, and thus im skimming thru the chapters... dont make this in to a pure angst fic b/c i can clearly see the potential in your writing and this story...

I always thought it would be a cool twist if when Ichigo came out of the shattered shaft with no sword and had to be given a Asauchi by Kisuke Urahara and forcing Kisuke to change the training method for Ichigo and find more to do it in.

While i read this i was mentaly listening to a bleach soundtrack (the one when ichigo is about to die against byakuya)... weird. Well Nice chapter.

I have to admit, I wasn't feeling this chapter quite as much as some of the others. Really dark and depressing. Now that he can carry Zangetsu, I hope some of the angst is buried.

Arrrrrggh! the suspense is killing me, mein gott.
You are one of a hell of a writer, that's some mean cliff hangers you got there.
Pretty much Ichigo is acting like his pre-getsuga form. So cool despite of the warm colors he bears.
I guess Ichigo might finally realize what Aizen felt for having such awesome power, to be powerful in exchange for companionship.

I wanna see more!
