i know this fanfic is old but it would be so amazing if at least second year got written in this series

Not bad. Though the constant pov changes jerked me around a bit.

This statement is balancing somewhere on the edge between disingenuous and just plain wrong.

1. First of all I cannot find anything about the ban of the book of 1490. Could you please point me to some URL or something of that document? Wikipedia comments on this by saying that “many historians have argued that it is well established by sources outside the Malleus that the university's theology faculty condemned the book for unethical procedures and for contradicting Catholic theology”, which is the most ambiguous statement possible. Unfortunately, I don’t have the quote source of this statement at hand. Do you know more about it? Wasn’t it just a procedural issue? Did the pope denounce his just six years old bull “Summis desiderantes affectibus”?

2. Wikipedia claims that “Between 1487 and 1520, twenty editions of the Malleus Maleficarum were published, and another sixteen between 1574 and 1669.” Do you claim that this was published, sold, and circulated only by Protestants? A book by a Catholic priest and a Catholic inquisitor (if the Sprenger was actually co-author)? It is hard to believe.

3. I don’t agree (and here is that balancing-on-disingenuous part) that “witch hunting was mainly a Protestant affair”. Only as a Czech I know about “Jindřich František Boblig of Edelstadt” (find this name on Wikipedia, much longer entry is on the Czech one, hopefully .com can do a good job with it) and his witch-hunt in Velké Losiny (1678–1695), where around 100 persons were burned at stake, and he himself claimed to be active in the witch-hunts in Silesia in the Nisa region between 1622-1684 (unfortunately I see only the Czech entry for this witchhunt, “Čarodějnické procesy ve Slezsku”), where between 350 and 500 people were executed (records are very sparse, because of a lot of them were destroyed afterwards). And I am quite certain that this very small area of Northern Moravia and Silesia just mirrors the same situation elsewhere at least in the Central Europe.

And of course when mentioned witch-hunt in Velké Losiny, one cannot forgot one of the best films of all times „Kladivo na čarodejnice” (translated to English as “Witchhammer”, 1970) by Otakar Vávra. It was one of the best films of the Czechoslovak New Wave of 1960s and it is hardly recommended to all. (and yes, it was more about the Communist persecution in 1950s, but the film is more or less historically accurate about those particular with-hunts as well). If you ever have option to see it, do so.

I understand that many Catholics (perhaps not you) want to make their denomination look better, but unfortunately it is almost certain than in this sin Catholics and Protestants stood hand in hand on equal level, and all of us should repent for the sins of our forefathers in faith.

Been awhile since reading this so don't remember much but is it possible to transfer the blood wards from Harry and Petunia to Harry and baby Jimmy so that they get extended another 17 years before they expire?

I've reread the two stories several times and hope that Stephen has more of this story in him to write. In fact, I've been going through the Marissa stores just to have something new to read.

For some reason this chapter had sooo much satisfaction in it that it came across as sinful. I can fully accept Molly Weasley doing such a thing against a…I would say beast, but that would be insulting to my dogs and the nice annoying raccoons who adore the apartment dumpsters. Slimo might work for Vernon.

Nice job on this sequel and I hope to see another someday. Strangely, your group of Gryffindors fits better as a group than almost any I’ve seen in ff or canon.

For some reason I now feel a great deal of pity for Fakeheart and Wormtail. Fudge too if he wants to plant those demon soul suckers around the school again. BookTom might have some issues if/when Secret Agent 009 3/4 gets near him. (Damn, you made Lavender Brown into a kickass spy so easily that it boggles the mind.) ((Makes me wonder what other tricks you’re going to toss at us readers next. Is Blofield a relative of Tom Riddle? That would be a truly ironic way to tie things together.))

I look forward to seeing your next story in this series and will be digging thru your posts to see what else traps my eyes.

This is been a crazy read but I enjoyed it so much. I do hope you come back eventually for the 3rd part of this series.

I can't stop laughing at that. I would bet that by this time approximately 2 months in after the announcement at least a third if not half of the student body would have checked it out.
