It's going to be... interesting to see the reactions there. I imagine that there's more than just 'Harry is an adult' to derail it.

I know this is already fully written, but I hope that when Albus and Snape get their proper 'rewards', Snape being a greedy bastard here also plays into it. Maybe him paying the value of what Albus was so upset at being 'given away needlessly'. After all, it IS Snape's fault it had to be done in the first place. Just tack it on to what Albus stole.

The abomination is dumb because you didn't add any context to make it plausible. You just dropped off like a dump truck dropping it's load. All we have to judge it by is canon magic and setting. In that context it's dumb. You could have made it believable by making clear changes to canon before you revealed it but you didn't do that.

Seven. There were SEVEN black rods in his spine dampening his magical core, see quote below for the chapter 1 paragraph in question. Seven would be a 40% stronger effect than five, which is kind of a significant difference... in addition to the whole 'lack of internal consistency' thing.

{As the search continued, Petunia had discovered another red rod on the other side of his head and quickly removed it. On a further examination, she found seven black rods sticking out of his spine. These, McGonagall informed, dampened a person magical core. There were also seven blue rods that surrounded his heart that McGonagall said diminished his ability to recognize love.}

Hands down one of the most clever FFN stories I’ve read! My only different opinion is on the terrorism thing. DEs might be considered equivalent to Nazis who conducted their prejudiced terror activities while holding the position of power, but the squib group in this story is not “better than” the IRA or Islamic groups, all of which could be described as targeting weaknesses as a backlash to oppression. I would not have lightened their sentences.
