Pausing here for a brief moment to say that I'm really glad that after shooting off a confused review, I moved on to the next chapter and straight away found an explanation! So Lily and Petunia were half-sisters in your story, and yes, I see how that would work. Now, to finish the rest of the story!

The problem with the premise of this story, entertaining as it has been so far, is that Harry, by virtue of being Petunia's blood-related nephew, should have registered as an Heir of Ravenclaw as well. Perhaps I will have to go back and read what you've written about the power dampening rods and how they affected Harry and Hogwarts, but come on. He's the son of Petunia's sister. The actual biological son of her biological sister. If Petunia and Dudley are Heirs of Ravenclaw, then so is Harry. Is there really any need to have him declared an Heir of Slytherin to make the story work?

I like your battle. It is a wonderful divergence from cannon but, I do not believe that "Magic" would accept Vernon, the great muggle, Dursley as head of house for any reason. This is a flawed concept that just wouldn't work.

It honestly turned out a lot better than I would’ve imagined. I like all the twists about the abomination and the squibs and even the muggleborn in muggle world thing (although I do wish you could’ve expanded that a bit more).

God, I hate those squids-ah, squibs.
