I think that McGonagall's comment about Ron not being on the Quidditch team is a bit harsh. Assuming he still wanted to be a keeper, for his first three years, the keeper was the team captain and there's no quidditch this year due to the Tournament.

Why tell him he can pick his own club but then deny him two choices? Also, he told her that she always knows how to make him feel better and she corrects him? What he said wasn't incorrect. She always knows how to do that. Whether she has one way, two ways, or fifty ways, what he said was correct.

Not telling Sirius is rather unfair to his potential future children. Also, magic punishing children for their parents sins is just wrong. It isn't their fault their parents were related so they shouldn't be made into squibs.

Why is Hermione insulting Harry? He grew up in an abusive family, of course his ego might be fragile. Of course he tries helping her when she is uncomfortable. That is just who he is.
