My5tic-Lali chapter 1 . 1/23/2017 Wow, this is so beautiful! the characterization was perfect and your dialogue is super natural and amazing! your writing is amazing |
Mischief Tea chapter 1 . 9/6/2016 Thank youuuu! This was the missing scene I wanted but didn't get! And now here it is, and you've pegged everything so wonderfully... I'm tearing up a little (even while laughing at the ending). This is great. |
Agent Malkere chapter 1 . 7/20/2016 I think that this has to be one of the best stories I've read where a member of the Gaang finds out the story behind Zuko's scar. Deftly and beautifully handled and the characterizations of Zuko and Katara were excellent! |
diesfromfandoms chapter 1 . 11/17/2015 Oooh shiny! This is really nice and in character. I'm not a fan of the Zuko-randomly-talks-about-the-most-traumatic-day-of-his-life-by-reading-a-transcript-of-the-storm. Luckily, this is not that. Also, the alternate character interpretation of Iroh is really interesting. Love this thing. |
A Smiling Cat chapter 1 . 10/16/2015 I really liked it ! You described the difficulties to understand someone who wasn't raised like you, who doesn't have the same set of values as you and who lived the same things as you but differently ! I'm usually not a fan of Zuko pouring his heart out, but you justified it quite well. Katara's point of view is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing ! |
DragonsintheMoonlight chapter 1 . 8/1/2015 This is amazing! Your writing and your ideas are incredible and I have been looking for a story like this, so thank you so much! -DragonsintheMoonlight :) |
TSRowenwood chapter 1 . 10/25/2014 My. Snickerdoodle. That was utterly amazing. First off, I have never seen anyone write an explanation of the whole Fire Nation thing, how they're raised, etc., so well. As I was reading I was nodding along and thinking, "My heck, why have I never thought of it like this before?" Second, can I just write that you got them incredibly in character? My gosh, Zuko . . . is a wonderful person to mess with and I can honestly say that this would and should have been made into an episode. And Katara - I like how smoothly the transition of her changing her opinion of him came. I mean, obviously it was going to shift with that particular sentence that Zuko said with his father giving him the scar and all, but it wasn't nearly as jerky as a lot of people (like me) would have made it. Third . . . Yes. The Not-As-Big-Of-A-Jerk-As-You-Could-Have-Been-Award . . . It must be a thing. I actually saw a picture where Katara says that line in the Western Air Temple episode, and then beneath was a picture of a smiling Zuko with a medal on his chest with those words. When you mentioned it in this, I laughed and was picturing the aforementioned picture the entire rest of the oneshot. :) Thanks for making me smile! TSRowenwood |
Rufescent chapter 1 . 10/23/2014 What a beautiful story. It really dives into the minds of these characters and lets things simply be out in the open. Fantastic descriptions; the tone is calming and gentle, I feel relaxed but excited when I read this. Amazing story, again! I hope you continue to write in the future, because your style is impeccable and fresh. |
kildar2010 chapter 1 . 8/27/2014 ok that was awesome, every fic i read i end up hoping for this conversation more or less anyway. So to see some one else write it down perfectly? thats just cool. Cheers for writing this out anyway |
Bourbon Rose chapter 1 . 8/26/2014 YOU ARE WRITING FOR ATLA NOW TOO, you're my hero yaaaaay :D I love it. I love Zuko so so so much and your characterizations are spot on. THANKS :D |
12321 chapter 1 . 8/25/2014 wow this is really good :3 |
DragonflyonBreak chapter 1 . 8/24/2014 I don't think I've ever really read anything in this fandom before, mostly because I don't think it is possible for this fantastic show of my childhood to be improved upon in any way, shape or form. However. :D This - and I'm trying very hard not to be weird - was awesome and I totally loved it. The characterization was perfect and the whole thing was on the same level of quality as the show, in my honest opinion. I don't know how you do it but you just really, really understand characters and their emotions and what they would do and say in different situations. Everything flows and feels like that is exactly how it is supposed to be. My heart was bleeding for poor Zuko! But I loved this - ' You're a healer, a small voice she had all but buried when it came to the prince raised its head in the silence she had provided. So heal. ' Gah, it's fabulous. These two are fabulous and I love their friendship overall. And you got them perfectly. I loved your take and it was a lot of fun to read! Thanks for sharing, DragonflyonBreak |
Faia Sakura chapter 1 . 8/24/2014 These are all the perfect Zuko feels in a nice oneshot. I love how you deal with how the Angi Kai was in front of the court; I have only ever seen people address the father and age issues. This was a lovely exploration into Zuko's motivations from Katara's POV. |
