This is my favorite fic of all time. Not my favorite DadRoy fic, not my favorite FMA fic, my FAVORITE fic of all time. All of them. Every single one. Every show, every character, every everything, this one takes the cake. It elicits genuine emotion. I can feel the pain and happiness all the same and I think it’s magical how you convey these emotions. I just read the fic again after 4 years and it’s still as wonderful as I remember. I picked it up and couldn’t put it back down for nearly 3 days. What you’ve done here is amazing and I’m so happy you’ve shared it with us. i remember reading this fic back in 2014/2015 (i don’t think dear brother was even finished yet) and i was so excited to see that more chapters had been added since then! i deleted my old ffn account ages ago and lost track of a lot of fics, but i’m really glad i came back to this one. i was in love with it then and i fell in love all over again now.

the plot had me immediately invested just like before and your portrayal of all the characters is so thoughtful. i loved seeing how everyone’s relationships were affected by ed becoming a child again, and i especially adore the relationship between roy and ed here. i teared up so many times, there are a ton of really hard-hitting and emotional moments. also your OCs (kale and bri in particular) are delightful and so well-developed!

i was really excited to see how the plot would progress from here - i’m sure you didn’t mean to abandon this fic, seeing as you had around 20 chapters planned out... i just hope you’re doing alright and staying safe. it would be lovely if you came back to this one day, but if not then thank you for writing such an amazing and captivating story so far, and i wish you all the best. 3
