I've come across stories where Harry is a Slytherin before, and ones where he is raised by Riddle... but I do believe this is the first story I've ever read that casts Grindelwald as his mentor...

So, Gellert Grindelwald? Well, well... It will be interesting, to say at least. So man chices, so many options... I look forward to Dumbledore's face when he find out about Harry's Master, which will happen, obviously.

A welcome treat on a wet Bank Holiday Monday. Like all good chapters, it feels much to short.

Gellert seems a tad too powerful, if he's capable of ruling by only eye contact. Dumbledore would have ensured Nurmengard was a fortress that Grindelwald could not escape.
Harry seems way too smart and fluent for a young child, especially one repressed his whole life. Again, not an important point, I'm guilty of similar stuff.
But these are very minor points.

Wow, what a completely different beginning! I love it! Aunt Bathilda is going to raise him? That is interesting. Gellert's causal killing of the Dursleys is rather chilling. Can't wait to see the reactions to everything.

Too bad Grindlewald couldn't/didn't think of a way to blame Harry's supposed death and the Dursleys' very real deaths on Dumbledore...

You know, sort of make it the Dursleys' faults that they and Harry are dead while revealing anonymously that the reason Harry was with them was because of Dumbledore ...

Imagine what the Wizarding World collectively would do if their miracle child died at the hands of Muggles and the incompetence of one of their most trusted wizards?
After all, Harry IS world famous ... even the Bulgarians have heard of him!

It would give Grindlewald some measure of vengeance against his old lover...

This looks to be a fascinating and most intriguing tale. I'm wondering, though, that when Albus' instruments detect Harry's absence and of course the absence of a fourth body at the Dursleys house, if he'll investigate or just shrug it off. I suppose you'll tell us that soon.

Ok, seriously though, glad to see you posting, I've been looking forward to this one. I've always liked seeing people's interpretation of GG, so this can be good.

I am curious what you are going to make the history of GG's relationship with Albus, as this seems more negative than what was implied in canon.

Also I hope Ginny has a better time than Penelope did in that story.
