Chemical Dreamer chapter 9 . 10/9/2015 Very good story! |
SkyeL4 chapter 9 . 9/8/2015 God I love this fic so much. I can't remember if I've already left a review, but I'm re-reading so I'll leave one again. Thanks for writing it! Feel like my heart was breaking with Regina's the whole time 3 |
irrelevent chapter 9 . 9/4/2015 So precious. Truly beautiful story, thank you. |
boxofwine chapter 4 . 8/30/2015 It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die! (excuse the DM reference) Regina's heartbreak and excitement is almost palpable. This fic is a perfect combination of fluff and angst. Flangst? Flungst? "I know from experience that you are the perfect mother for any child of mine." I literally aww'd at that. |
boxofwine chapter 3 . 8/20/2015 A third of the way there. Sorry, work and studying have gotten in the way of funner (is that even a real word?) things. I find it very relatable that they inadvertently shot themselves in the foot, so to speak, by calling it a one time thing. If only one of them had been brave enough to speak up, they could have saved themselves a bit of trouble (but then that would've shortened the story a lot more). I think you did an excellent job putting all of Regina's feelings into words. Words are not my forte, so articulating those particular emotions from a character like Regina is impressive in my book. Also, I'm a sucker for a Swan-Mills & Charmings dinner - even in this context. It's just great that "the two idiots" could see right through her while Emma remains oblivious. |
boxofwine chapter 2 . 8/18/2015 I'm assuming that their relationship was mostly canon-compliant despite living together before this baby business, and my own head-canon is that their relationship would shift to "old married couple" seamlessly if SQ ever did happen. Naturally, seeing it happen here is just all kinds of awesome. Also, I really enjoy Regina's POV (I generally prefer it in SQ fics, for some reason). It's sweet to see that all her insecurities and fears are pushed aside when she sees that Emma needs her. I also like seeing that she still likes to needle Emma here and there - it's true to her character. Swan Queen just wouldn't be Swan Queen without a little bickering. |
misskimhyun chapter 9 . 8/16/2015 This story was so new and cool! I have never read something like this before and it was amazing. I loved it. I can't wait for the second part! |
boxofwine chapter 1 . 8/16/2015 Okay, I said I'd read and review like it's my job, however, I never said I'd be any good at it. It's the thought that counts, though. Right? So, here goes: the characterization is on point. The dynamic between them is just lovely and gives me all kinds of warm and fuzzy SQ feels. Regina's snark and sass, and the way she tries to stay emotionally distant - because God forbid Emma realizes her feelings for her. It's so fantastically believable (from what I've gathered of her character, at least). I also love that you showed Regina's insecurity about someone else worming their way into the Swan-Mills family, because that seemed to be what was going on in canon with Emma and Robin. I'll just stop myself there on this point because I could ramble about that forever. And lastly, I really liked how Emma's storming out kind of galvanized Regina into stepping up to comfort her. Up until that point, she'd been afraid of Emma's reaction to any help or comfort from her. It was a fantastic start. |
awhitefairytale chapter 9 . 8/16/2015 I finally got around to reading this and I'm so glad I did. It was beautiful and adorable. I'm excited that you are writing a sequel because I can't wait to see how this little family continues their happy beginning :) Thanks for writing! |
ghoaocdkbeyde chapter 9 . 8/15/2015 'That beautiful idiot actually loved her back.' :) :) :) :) :'-) I LOVE Rumpel and Belle bringing the mobile for the baby. That was fantastic, and I always love the tension and that complex, strange, almost heart-wrenching dynamic between he and Regina that always makes their scenes feel so heavy even when the content isn't. 'Ducky's gonna kick his ass someday.' Hahaha! I loved that! I also loved that you made it so that normal birth control will work to prevent pregnancy rather than them needing a magical solution. 'Why does having a baby have to be such a damn mess?' I love this line. It's so true, and yet all the messy, gross aspects are often left out of stories and tv and film, because 'oh the miracle of life' and all of that jazz, but the truth is that childbirth is messy and exhausting and the process as well as the aftermath can be pretty disgusting. The baby is a joy, though. :) Them holding their 'tiny, wailing creature' and crying over her together is just ... ugh, my heart. That is a beautiful image to have in my mind. 'Wow, Moms, she's really cute. Nice work.' I snorted so hard at Henry. He is such a dork, and I loved this line. Gorgeous name. :) 'Are we finally done with that charade?' I love it! I love when Snow gets sassy. I absolutely adore the charms. That was a gorgeous gift and addition, and it seems like something Regina would put a lot of heart and thought into. I really appreciated that. '...horrified at the prospect of accidentally catching sight of a boob again.' I laughed so hard I snorted. Teenage boys, I swear. 'I think this is just the beginning.' Indeed it is, and a gorgeous one at that. This was a truly lovely journey, and I thank you for sharing it with us. Wonderful work. XO |
ghoaocdkbeyde chapter 8 . 8/15/2015 'Chill, Mom. Your threats have gotten a little lame." I laughed out loud at that. Sometimes I really love Henry's sass, and I also love how he immediately is like 'Are you two fighting?' because something is off. Oh lord, these two idiots, I swear. Regina is all hiding her feelings, even though she is obvious as hell, yet Emma doesn't know, and Emma is hiding HER feelings even though she is obvious as hell, and Regina is all 'Nah, I would have noticed'. It's ridiculous how these two always seem to be in denial, until of course they aren't. :) 'Yeah, it's awesome, and the miracle of life, and all that stuff...' That made me laugh. That line was so true to Emma. Oh my Meryl, I just about rolled out of my chair when Emma basically offered up her womb like 'I could have more if you wanted'. Oh my Lord, how do you two not know you're effing in love? I love the evolution of their physical affection. 'I TRUST YOU TO NEVER LEAVE ME' I am going to shove an entire brick in my mouth! FINALLY! FINALLY they admit they are in love with one another, and it was beautiful, and then Henry is just like 'Gross'. That was perfect. :) |
ghoaocdkbeyde chapter 7 . 8/15/2015 I like how Regina thinks everyone is pigeonholing her daughter into pink, but then she changes everything to purple. I laughed at that. I love when Regina has these little moments of reflecting about her unborn daughter, about the life she will have, the love they will give her, how she will be strong and educated and happy. It means to much more when you know the sort of life Regina led and the family she was raised in. It makes my eyes sting a bit. I also love Emma being so protective of Regina, even where her own parents are concerned, immediately noticing the change in Regina's attitude and demanding to know if Snow had, in some way, offended her. Omg, Snow sticking her foot in it is hilarious-her little comments about Regina's attire and how she looks and trying to see if Emma has noticed-I'm imagining Regina's level of mortification and annoyance growing higher and higher. Snow just has one of those embarrassing mom personas, it encompasses everyone somehow. Ugh, Regina's little break down hurt me. The way she loves Emma so much but is trying to bear it in silence, and Snow really isn't making it easy for her. Ugh, she needs a hug. |
Interp86 chapter 9 . 8/15/2015 How did I not know of this fic! |
