![]() ![]() ![]() Sounds like the beginning of an epic prank. Give him hell, Harry! LOL Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmm, Minerva has been awakened from her blind following of Dumbles the Magnificent? That will be lovely if it proves to be true. Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, and even when he's been proven innocent and freed, they have to be shamed into offering Sirius any type of appology and recompense. Shame on them. Plus, I'll bet Dumbledore really is furious. Sirius is one more block between Harry and Dumbles' opportunity to control Harry. Heh, take that! Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really, really love Slipshard. :D Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ahahaha! They'll never get Hermione out of Hermione's. Very cute. Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow! Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love the things that Harry is up to in this story. Slipshard is a very worthy mentor, as well. Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Fascinating. Can't wait to find out more about the Pembertons. Thanks so much! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Regardless how I feel about the way Hermione treated him by saying something about going back to the Dursleys, it was very responsible for him to tell the DMLE that it was him and not her. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Superb work their Harry, ramming through the wall with the chair to escape your room. Did the professor lie to Harry about Albus having a talk with the Dursley's about Harry's treatment? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Omg. Off to read the next one. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, what a year for all. Yes, that was an awful cliffhanger. |
![]() ![]() OMG sooooo hooked! I want to read the next one but unfortunately for me I've spent too much time reading tonight and I've got work in a few hours. Darn! Like before you've got such an amazing flair with words it's hard not to get so involved in the story. I'm so happy that you wrote this for me to stumble across. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ...At this point, it seems to me that it's not *Harry* who's bad at negotiating, but rather you. Having a goblin team harvest the basilisk corpse is a single task - perhaps a big one, considering the size, but it'd be far better to negotiating a flat price for the work. Selling the basilisk materials is a separate task, and here it *would* make sense to negotiate a percentile rate, but pairing it with the 'harvesting' work means that the 7.5% is probably high. The biggest problem with the negotiations, is that Harry starts by immediately raising his offer by 2%, despite no guarantee that Slipshard would reciprocate and decrease his counteroffer by 2% as well. They meet in the middle - fortunately enough - but then Harry secures the goblins' agreement by handing over a major concession: the exclusive right to display the entire basilisk skeleton for a month preceding the sale of the ingredients. This would certainly drive up the price by a considerable margin, and could provide a major income source for Gringotts if they think to charge for the privilege (perhaps a few days of free viewing to get the word out, then charge for the rest of the month). Of course, for Harry to then give Snape (!) a full third of whatever potion ingredients can be harvested from the corpse, and give Crabbe, Goyle, and Filch each a full vault with 10,000 galleons apiece... what the heck, man? Crabbe and Goyle were bullies (literally caught in the act) and Filch routinely threatens students with torture. Not to mention Crabbe and Goyle are purebloods (and presumably well-off, if not rich thanks to their association with Malfoy). This is just like Harry compensating Malfoy for the 'offense' of freeing a poor abused elf. Don't you think there's something wrong with Harry giving money to bad people for no reason? |
![]() ![]() ![]() if I get to the end of this and its not complete I'm going to be mad |
