![]() ![]() ![]() Absolutely brilliant |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just finishing the second book of this, and needed to stop and send my thanks for a great read so far! Very nicely done. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It seems like a LOT of planning went into this. Most writers (usually including myself when I try these things) get impatient about certain events and do too much at once. This is just... the most realistic independent Harry story I've ever read, and am likely to ever read. I wish I hadn't procrastinated reading this series. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This series is just great on so many levels. I wouldn't say that it is superior to J. K. Rowling's writing completely, but as that has more to do with fanfiction automatically assuming knowledge of the source material rather than talent, I think you could do a decent try at that if you really wanted to. Regardless, you have more realistic characters than she does, which is impressive. And the reason I'm saying this at all is that your differences are creative and seamless with the original plot of HP. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I had to put this fic away for a while. Malfoy getting his evil way with Potter despite the adults. Then again in canon, the adults constantly fail him, usually spectacularly. This is the second time I could not get past it. I finally went a few chapters a head to get away from the bad place that section placed me. Now I am looking forward to where this fic leads. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is really good, I don’t really mind the evil Dumbledore because he is AU enough that I am just imagining him as a completely new character. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Beautifully done :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() You are amazing. I am loving this story. Thank you |
![]() ![]() Headed for Haven |
![]() ![]() The engraving was by Salazar's son Salazar Jr. .Jr. is the one who hated muggles. |
![]() ![]() The castle was built by the founders it wasnt a fixer up castle. And Salazar was not evil. That was Salazar jr. His son that hated muggles not the founder. |
![]() ![]() The real reward was 5 million galleons for ruining his reputation. 3 million galleons for taking away his wand. And 10 million galleons for each year in Azkaban Prison. |
![]() ![]() I'm Free. Lol |
![]() ![]() ![]() As much as I enjoy this story, there are a lot of errors within it and a lot of canonical retreads. It really doesn't deviate enough for my liking. I know that you said this would occur increasingly overtime, but I don't want to keep retreading canon for the sake of minor alterations that ultimately do not serve the plot. The problem I have is that those changes which have come about, such as Sirius's pardon, Dumbledore's machinations, the "Ancient House of Potter" cliché and so on, are not unique. They have all been done to death in other stories. Thus, very little is original here. I will keep reading for now, given that I have already made a commitment to come this far, but I hope that things pick up fairly soon. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The story had been recovered and doing extremely well until the convenient stupidity kicked in again. And there is NO valid excuse for Dumbledore not knowing about the guardianship yet. Ridiculous that nobody is there to pick up Harry. Silly that Harry missed asking Hermione to be his girlfriend and to spend some of the holidays with her. It is mostly really good and then you let a teenager hack into your story for a bit. But I do remember reading some of the episodes before and on the whole seeing them improve until completion. Thanks for keeping at it. Regardless of the temporary hiccups it is a very worthwhile read. |
