The Bugrum. Doctor Who. Hee, hee. Okay, I admit; I'm not at all familiar with the eighth Doctor but . . . well. Your story was fast-moving, exciting, original, and with just a taste of that *something* which makes an excellent writer. I loved it.

Only . . . could you write a few (dozen) more? Please?

It doesn't seem like it was ever meant to be more than a vignette/short story, and it's perfect the way it is. A little bit of danger, a little bit of fantasy, and of course, the TARDIS.

I read this a while back, when you gave me the link, but I only managed to post my review now. Well, I'm not familiar with the eight Doctor so I can't really compare this with the original, but I like the way you described him. The Bugrum are an interesting menace as well, and I think it would be interesting to see more on Alex and the Doctor - like I said, I don't know much about the eight Doctor, but I like the possibilities that are open regarding their personalities.

Btw, I think it's great how you and many others dare upload a story by chapter.. I usually have to finish mine before I publish them, for I will often find something doesn't quite work so I have to edit previous parts. But it does make it fun to read, it lasts longer this way!

Since you asked about canon, I can happily report that the only inconsistency I

noticed was the decor in the TARDIS. The 8th Doctor's TARDIS is not normally

pristine and white inside. It's usually described as sort of gothic and antique-looking,

with dust everywhere. But that's a minor glitch and only the most obnoxious canon

police would care.

I've never seen the eighth Doctor, but I like this story. There's a very Who-ish blending of action and humor. Alex is a likeable companion; a normal kid who's life is about to take a turn towards the extraordinary. I liked the Burgrum being attracted to the lettuce.
