This story is actually adorable and addicting.

I don't usually read fics with OCs playing a major role (though I'm not opposed to them, I just... don't for whatever reason), and I do like yours. Makes sense they should have a linguist in a larger role. I get the feeling Daniel was pretty salty about having to stay on Earth. Though I think Rodney was pretty much fluent in reading both Wraith and Ancient by the end there, but to have one to start would have been nice. Annnyway, I enjoyed this! Talk about starting with a bang...
