I actually got really worried when I realized that that was still Astrid's point of view in the birth scene and how it was. I like the idea of them, or at least Valka, calling the baby a hatchling.

I just love the LOVE that is so easy to see between them! I also really loved Astrid's confrontation with Valka.

Beautiful. The part with Astrid and Stoick made me cry. There isn't enough fic out there between Stoick and his future daughter-in-law. I hope there's more to this series, possible from Hiccup's POV.
