I was the little green ball in a tennis match and Magikarp from Pokemon. Back and forth and flip flopping with my emotions the same as Bella when it came to Edward lol I was both mad and happy and conflicted just as she was. This was so much fun to read while I recovered from surgery!

You said at the beginning it would be fun and not like badlands (which I loved but every chapter had my anxiety at an all time high worried for the two of them and their recklessness lol) I thought this would be a cute little art nerdy story and it was SO much more. Their constant need to one up each othe. The instant draw to each other. They’re such soulmates. The matching bleeding hearts. Loved them.

I loved the way she would describe his eyes and how she just didn’t want to let herself fall at and not be caught but she did anyway and it was worth it. I loved how devoted she was to taking care of her dad that she was living a risky life just so he could live a good one. I loved the way Edward was so open with her even when he knew she was locked up tight but was patient with her. His love for his brothers and his need to help the underprivileged kids. Ugh. He was the best kind of green flag. I loved that he didn’t push her even though he knew she was what he wanted. That she was his match. The big ole reappearance of the painting and then later his own reappearance to protect her and to finally reunite with her had my heart failing lmao

Love love loved the ending and the epi and just everything about this one. Thank you for your words!

I liked your story, Edward not so much. I dont understand the appeal of making male leads that are rich or mob/mafia characters so... controlling over the female lead. I get that here part of it was the job, but in real life would you put up with that behaviour?

Glad that Bella pushed back when it came to him but she still gave in a little too easily.

Either way, I like your story, its very different. I hope you don't take offense with my review. Its just my opinion of Edward, not your writing.

So Edward took the painting and videoed it in Aro’s house. That’s something against Aro, what’s to stop Irina from calling in an anonymous tip? They will probably stop dealing with her now, that will piss her off since she knows they will be working with someone.
Edward and Bella’s problem is no communication, both of them.

It’s possible that Aro knew exactly who Bella was and saw she was with Anthony. It is possible that he may think Edward is using her to get to the painting was hinting to Bella trying to alert her to that. It also may be possible he knows exactly what Rose and Bella do since he has a relationship with Irina.
Is Bella going to leave Edward high and dry now and run to the airport? Charlie talking doesn’t seem to be a reason to flee but Bella has made her priorities clear. She’s probably going to keep treating Edward like he is a passing fancy, such a shame. Edward doesn’t deserve it, he has been above board with her.

Rose was wrong, of course Edward would know they’re responsible. They were selling a painting that was only on loan
Also, Bella should know that Edward could have switched the painting when she was sleeping on the plane, than sent her on her way when they landed, never to be seen again.

Edward doesn’t seem all above board so I didn’t think he was with law enforcement. All the secrecy and money has made me think he is an art thief. He hasn’t relieved the art gallery of any paintings which makes me think he wants the one that Bella is carrying. That was the one he was paying attention to when he went to the gallery. Bella had suspicions that he thought it was fake, so he either was following the painting and was aware a switch happened there or was already aware of Alice. He has had plenty of opportunity to take it but I’m guessing he hasn’t because he would have sent Bella on her way. She has gotten under his skin which may be giving him a guilty conscious.

Ha… I bet it’s M’s apartment, that’s why he got a funny look when Bella mentioned him cleaning up their mess. Maybe…?
