good god this story is amazing! i was cracking up throughout every chapter, except the one from faramirs POV. that one i cried at. ::blushes::

I'm an insane Boromir fangirl, not to mention a complete and total sucker for any and all fluff, and this - this - it's the best thing since sliced bread.

In fact, forget that. It's BETTER than sliced bread. Or Velcro. Or - or - or - guh.

As for the last paragraph of chapter 12. . .I am going to enjoy it like the happy ending it is supposed to be, and completely ignore the fact that Boromir will never see Gondor again. (Boromir? Dead? What are you talking about? I'm not in denial. Nope. Never.)

Your characterisation is perfect, your writing style is impeccable, and this is going on my Favorites List. Keep writing!

Okay, so I need to review this story, even though I already have; But I just wanted to tell you that I think you have written one of the MOST loved LotR stories on Really. Like on every Favorite List, this story is there. It's scary. But very cool. Keep writing!

I just found this. I love it. I absolutely love it. You have given us a wonderfully Tolkienish picture of the love and care that hobbits have for each other and presented Boromir in a marvelous and happy fashion that appears far too little. The paternal care he feels for the hobbits, especially Pippin, and the brotherly, friendly love throughout the story is a sweet breath of air. Thank you.

oh...what a great chapter. Crazy Boromir and his silly backward notions of birthdays! But I almost burst into tears when I read:

“Like wishing our new friend Boromir a very happy birthday,

A lovely, lovely story. It had me doubled up laughing when I was not giggling or towards the final chapters, crying. Brilliantly in character, such a good study of all the fellowship with small insights into each character to bring them off the page. Especially well done were Boromir and the hobbits. I also, didn't want to finish the story, but your ending was handled as brilliantly as the rest. The last few lines of Chapter 11, had me caught somewhere between crying and cheering. Thank you.

As I haul Merry and Pippin to their feet and encourage them to pick up their pace, I wonder how I have survived all these years with such backwards birthday traditions. I shall be certain to rectify the situation once I am back in Gondor.

I'm going to completely and utterly ignore the fact that in canon Boromir dies, that way I can enjoy this story without feeling pangs of sadness after reading a paragraph. This is such a great story, I love Boromir in this, he reminds me of the Boromir in the movie, not the one in the book.

I loved your story so much that i've read it four times now and I keep crying at the end! You really did a beautiful job with this, dealing with the humor, which was brilliant, and then ending it on a serious note. I loved it, I was fabulous.

NO! It's over! I loved this story. It was very informative, and funny and amusing and well written. I have just now, made myself finish. Which I was reluctant to do, since then, there would be no more story!

I think that this is the beststory I've read since I finished devouring all of Aratlithiel's work a few months back. I love the way you showed Boromir the way he was before the Ring corupted him.
