This was very well written and you’re a talented writer, though I am firmly in agreement with the commenter who suggested that this should be horror. This was really difficult to read... seemed like a heck of a lot of sexual assault and reproductive coercion capped off with the suggestion that Hermione leaving her abuser was somehow a just punishment for said abuser, and that after 11 years, bygones should be bygones? IMO there was really no justice and Hermione barely got any agency back by the final chapter, though I admit to being sensitive to reproductive coercion as it is literally my worst nightmare.

Some CC: Your treatment of the one gay character in this story deserves a little reflection. The extremely casual homophobia from multiple characters was extremely off-putting, mostly because there was no real pushback from others (Hermione even condoned Draco’s homophobia in noting and implicitly accepting how “uncomfortable” he’d be around a flamboyant gay man...). Also off-putting was the use of two very real stereotypes against gay men in Justin’s characterization - firstly, that they pursue straight men with little regard to boundaries and with a malevolent angle (this stereotype literally gets gay men and trans women killed IRL, see: the gay panic defence) and second, that they’re unable to hold long-term romantic commitments (unlike almost every single het person you’ve written here...). As I said, I think it’s worth some reflection and consideration of why you chose to write your sole explicitly queer character this way.

This is my second reading of your story and I’m still terrified of what’s going to happen to these strong women. The attention to detail is remarkable. I’ve been commenting throughout but fanfic isn’t playing.

I love the fact that if Hermione was in a Wiltshire hospital is would be Bath or Salisbury- they're such mundane places! Salisbury is the weirdest place on the planet!

Wow! This story was absolutely amazing! Your writing is very compelling and the plot kept me in suspense to the very end. As I read I kept thinking that Draco in this fic is so awful and selfish and without an ounce of humility that it should be categorised as horror if they end up together. Your alternate ending would have been so sad for Hermione and other muggleborns that I’m very happy you wrote another. I think it just shows your talent as a writer and storyteller that in the last two chapters I kept wishing for a happy Dramione ending after being against it for almost 50 chapters!

The alternate ending was so horrifying it gave me chills. Good work.

Wow I really dislike Draco so so much! I hope they don’t end up together even if he does really fall for her. I wonder why the vow didn’t hurt him when she realized and called him a rapist. It was harming her and she viewed him as raping her at that point.

Ugh Draco is so despicable in this story. But seems fairly canon. I actually am not sure how I feel about this relationship. Good story so far!

Had to stop reading at this point because the story is making me too uncomfortable. Very very rape-y with manipulation and horrifying conclusions surrounding the poor women. Truly think this might give me nightmares, might be worth marking the genre as horror since this is truly a depressing psychological thriller.
