I like this ending. it's satisfying, and Draco is redeemed, although I'm disappointed at the lack of revenge.

I’m on reread number idk, and just had the thought today that they all get sort of proportional comeuppance in the end. Marcus and Theo and Draco all represent different levels of betrayal and stakes, and I had never thought of that in the abstract. Zabini as well for that matter… no atonement-just death, 11 years of misery and correcting a wrong, 3 years of misery and correcting my a wrong, and Marcus lives his life of wedded bliss. It seems important narratively that the premise isn’t the problem, that the other characters had other options, that while Draco was a dick, it really didn’t have to be that way. Like, Theo and Marcus didn’t have to tamper with birth control. Theo ultimately chose not to protect his father. Obviously Malfoy’s behavior lands as reprehensible throughout, but I hadn’t thought about the ways that is juxtaposed against vivid examples of alternate choices he could have made. Thanks for writing!

uhm. this is really... this is definitely dubious consent. at this point, draco is really vying for being irredeemable. he's still extremely bigoted and doesnt seem to be changing, is regarding Hermione as a conquest/broodmare, is insidiously manipulating her emotions through trust charmlust potion... Im not really sure how you plan on redeeming him, or if you even can? Im hopeful but also scared
