also, given his exploits, how was Kyle not a General by the time Mindoir happened? i get Ahern turning down any promotions past Commodore, but why would Kyle? especially whe Florez was one? Kyle's a far better soldier and tactician.

except for the part where you reveal EAGL was right, that Ardiente WAS Manswell's puppet, and Manswell DID orchestrate everything...

...you have Shepard's father saving both Saracino and Sanders in this, at great risk to himself. how does this man becaome the bastard that he is later on?

also leads into interesting questions about Flores's role in helping track down and kill Shepard's parents.
