I can not. I can NOT tell you enough how much I loved this. I—it was just such an adorable masterpiece from the jump! His letters to her were so short, but so full. I just. *screams again* His last letter, oh my gosh. He allowed himself to love her, she kept him sane, his friends making fun of him for how much he cared. I KNEW she was going to go out there and save him. This was just so sweet and lovely and beautiful. I want to know how his friends reacted to him finding her. And his ninken. And their life together, now he won't ever be alone again. I imagine her making him just so damn happy after everything, and him spending his life making sure she knows how much he loves her. He's been at war most of his life, and now he has love and maybe one day a family. I adored the concept. It's so sweet all by itself. See? Now I am rambling. I loved this, thank you so much.

Oh how perfect this story was. Wonderful style, great plot. The only thing missing would be the next part. Them happy together with the dogs.

Iruka's comment about being one of the screeners made me think of how there were probably a few people who kept up to date with their conversation throughout the years and they also found strength in them, in both Kakashi and Sakura's letters. And I think that's so cute
