Amazing fanfiction. Like, absolutely amazing. I just binge read this whole thing over near two days straight.

Probably one of the best fanfics - no - stories I've ever read. Definitely a top 5 in my list.

I love the whole story and there have been some great scenes, but this latest chapter was just great. I think I can really see the thought you put into designing this one.

I look forward to the next chapter eagerly. I can't wait to read what happens next.

Tatsumi isn't good or bad, he's just his side and his opinion, personally, Night Raid too, lot of people in manga is like that, Jaegers too, they defend the camp which they believe just, that does not mean that they do not have blood on the hands, that it is of innocent people or harmful. Everyone has their opinion on the matter but that does not excuse everything. It reminds me of Esdeath's words when she spoke to the graves of the three beasts, didn't she also mean that they just weren't strong enough to defend their opinion or something like that. ..
Each side loses people but talking about revenge is a bit ridiculous because each side loses someone by fighting to the death, it makes sense, they fight for their point of view, to say that one side is worse that the other is a little hypocritical if we compare these groups. On the side of the empire, there are plenty of people who serve it to give food to their families and people who do not know what this Empire is hosting. However, most of them will die at the hands of the revolutionary army or the Night Raid if they "prevent" them from achieving their objective. There is neither all white nor all black. To go back to history, as Tatsumi says, the revolution that the Night Raid wants to cause has more than 99% of bringing a civil war and more damage committed than the Empire does in more than 3 years.

And again, who says that whoever you put at its head will not end up being worse? And again, anarchy can come long before. Amazing chapter cant wait for the next one

Ahh there's something refreshing to making a child see the horors of his country. Add that with hours of tense journey and threats towards his life, I'm surprised he's not getting any trauma. Though I do think his "ride through the city" could be shortened.

So hyped about this ending! Really I think story-time wise it's three days, but hell was it three long days of epicness, and brutality. Nice chapter! Hope you well!

I love your story and how it is going, but on a more personnal note, I have trouble understanding your author's note.

I mean, I know, murder and rape happens, that if you're at the wrong place at the wrong moment, you'll get hurt or die for no reason, what I don't understand is to what or who your animosity is directed. The USA governement for not moving after so many years and cases of derelict practice ? The masses who get inflammed by an incident when they elect people who obviously won't do a thing to change things before such incident happens ?

Because, well, I am french, and if there is a thing I can say about France, it is that manifesting is a national sport. Nothing can be touched without sending the populations in the streets, and though it doesn't often degenerate to the point of the riot in the USA, things like the yellow jackets can happen and from my personnal view, they were people who either tried to make reality conform to their dreams or exploited the manifestations to provoke looting and pillaging.
France is sick. Not in the same way that the states, but it is sick. The social elevator that was school is broken, scholarship for college given to every low income without result obligations, meaning that it is now harder for a low income to do long courses because money has to be given to everyone instead of the few hard-working or talented.
Laws that were voted almost 30 years ago to help the working class are so exploitable that said working class can leave with more luxe and unnecessary expenses than a middle class. And some of them push the vice to the point where they do things such as not paying rent or wathever they have to pay, and when they are judged and condemned, they won't even pay the fine they receive because they don't have any actual money : They just live off the aids of the the governement and have no money to pay with because in France, the governement takes money out of your salary but leave you enough to live. If you don't gain enough money to live, nothing is taken.
And the whole thing is untouchable because if someone try to amends those law, you get manifestations and riot for 6 months.

So yeah, if only to better understand what you're saying i'd like more explanation on what your animosity is directed and why, because I'm curious like that and would love to understand the undertone of your fanfic better.

This story has consumed you, I assume this has a therapeutic feel as you write this, making you convinced this is a solution, and it can be, I can't blame you for believing that; having unity through a common emblem can be fortifying. Sadly, you can't stop the inevitable reality of the human condition, degradation or prosperity, doesn't matter: we are responsible, as an nation or individual, to make it work regardless. Do you possess enough faith in our species to not fuck up? Even I find that painful. Also, you aren't the only one to think this, and to tell the tale. Through history, similar ideals inconceivable at the time where put into motion, like the French Revolution, thinking as an conclusion. But funnily enough, that's the fatal flaw, thinking it would an ending, like an story. So, I see this as a misplaced but entertaining search for it. But nothing ever ends...

So the child emperor finally got a wake-up call, Esdeath is starting to piece things together, the revolution is in full panic and Lubbock has resigned himself to a suicide mission all thanks to Tatsumi's work. So many things happening in this chapter that I could probably write a small essay with my thoughts on them, but I'll keep it as short as I can and simply say these few things. Firstly It's wonderful to see this updated once more and I can't wait to see what comes of all this work in the remaining chapters. Secondly, It's good to know you're doing well and hopefully we can all make it through this nonsense going on unscathed. Thirdly and finally I'd like to thank you for continuing to write when, where, and how you want despite the people that try to dissuade you from doing so as it means I and so many others can continue to read your works and see you improve as a writer.

Oh my god, i loved this chapter. I was honestly extatic to see Tatsumi reveal to the child emperor, the pitiful state his kingdom really is in. It's about time someone just literally woke him up.

It's about time the nobility monsters got what is coming to them. I feel really sorry for Tatsumi and all the hardships he had to go through and I hope things turn out well so that he may smile once more.
