I really like what you've done with Tatsumi in this story, although I am very curious as to how he got to where he is. I'm guessing it will be explained at some point? Keep the awesome coming, and I'll be here to read it!

hmmm, the story seems interesting, the pace is well used, being honest, if you want to trully break the canon, you should use another pairing, for example a Tatsumi/Seryuu, being the later less of a psycopath of course, I mean that because Tatsumi/Esdese are pretty common and pretty much different of how you plot Tatsumi now, Esdese most likely will force Tatsumi into pillage and rape in my opinion.

Another option for pairings would be Kurome, it would be more frustating and psycological to the Tatsumi you show us here, but well, its your story and your decision.

On a side note, I am pretty glad you made Tatsumi more level-headed, but dont fall into being common, you have a whole universe to use so made things well.

Also if this is an AU you can make characters from NR to be within the army, could be interesting to see how they develop within the army instead of the rebels, of course, all of them deciding not to murder people, but to try different ways to achieve revolution and change the empire

Now this is interesting. This and only a couple other Akame ga Kiru fanfics are what I'll continue to read. What kind of Imperial Arms (Teigu) will Tatsumi have? Please update another chapter soon.
