Wow, that was amazing! The story had been going a bit slowly recently but this chapter introduced so many ideas and plot points. The analysis of the whole using-someone-who-loves-you situation was great as usual, though I was wondering why Dawn didn't tell Buffy that she wasn't entirely responsible for the way she acted towards Spike. I'm sure she could have mentioned something like "It wasn't entirely your fault" without having to explain what actually happened.

Also, I know that Joyce would die soon but I somehow really hoped that Dawn would find her on time and call an ambulance. Oh well, at least this time Buffy won't have to go through this alone and the money problem won't be an issue. I'm looking forward to having Spike next to Buffy at the funeral instead of Angel.

Btw, including the geek trio from season 6 is a wonderful idea! I'm really curious where you'll take it and if they would become evil again despite everything.

There are so many things that Dawn can change, but this isn't one of them. RIP Joyce.

I only hope it was a funny aneurysm this time. Let her die happy.

I'm a bit amazed that Dawn forgot it was today too. I've been sitting on the edge of my seat this whole chapter to see how you'd handle it and it just happened . . . like that. Your version actually shows that there really was nothing they could do if she was gone moments after walking in the front door. Still so sad.
On another note, I'm loving the Buffy character growth here. Hopefully it doesn't all disappear in her grief.

I enjoy seeing the reflection on Buffy from current timeline to original. I never thought of the comparison of Warren to Buffy of using "someone"

I was not sure at the beginning because Dawn's role seemed too instrumental to me, but then you made her a really interesting character and I really like her arc. Hey, I really love this fic! I'm definitely enjoying it and I'm eager to see where it goes. I did want to say one thing though: the line about Spike seducing lesbians sort of made me uncomfortable. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be offensive but given the history of men trying to "conquer" lesbians or how often people say "you just haven't met the right guy yet," it did leave a bad taste in my mouth. I get that it was supposed to be a funny line to showcase his attractiveness but I would appreciate if you at least considered changing or removing it. Anyway, that's my two cents as a not-straight gal.

I hope you don't consider this criticism of the fic as a whole because like I said I am really enjoying it. I just know I would want someone to tell me if I wrote something that hurt them or made them uncomfortable. I hope you have a nice day and I look forward to the next update.

Yea don't feel about taking long to spuffy. True relationships always takes time to develop and rushing for them get down dirty immediately would have made it lame and unbelievable. so kudos to that at least
