windbreaking chapter 45 . 1/16/2016 This is such a great story. I always enjoy each chapter. Sorry that I never reviewed before. I can't wait to see what happens next. |
Guest chapter 44 . 1/13/2016 Wow! Wasn't sure Dawn was up to cold blooded murder, but somehow, I never saw this one coming. This leaves us in completely uncharted territory. Can't wait for the next chapter! |
RAGAnne chapter 44 . 1/13/2016 Wow! It worked. I was on the edge of my seat the whole chapter just waiting for Glory to show up and ruin everything. I love that you let Ben sort of be in control of his own fate. And now we're going to get the boatload of consequences. I can't wait! |
Glumski chapter 43 . 1/11/2016 SERIOUSLY? You end the chapter here? Ugh. Fine, we'll wait. You're evil. |
lDanielHolm chapter 43 . 1/10/2016 Can't wait to read the conclusion to part II, and eagerly awaiting part III! Still a great story. |
Guest chapter 43 . 1/10/2016 I haven't reviewed this story in a while. Still enjoying it very much. I also want to give you a big "Thank you"! For being so good at updating regularly. Your story has become a part of my weekly routine. While the suspense still makes me want to hurry up and know what happens, I will really miss it when we get to the end. You are an excellent writer, so perhaps I can replace it with your next inspiration. Not to beg or whine or anything (unless it helps). |
RAGAnne chapter 43 . 1/10/2016 Well it appears Dawn had slightly better than half a plan this time though she still hadn't thought it out entirely. I'm suddenly very concerned about whether time will allow itself to be changed with all of Spike's visions and whatnot. Looking forward to the next chapter. |
JayeMaru chapter 42 . 1/6/2016 I totally enjoy the interplay and partnership between Dawn and Spike; I can imagine that the characters could have evolved into a brother-sister-friends relationship like this. I also really like that Dawn, though smart and insightful, is still sweetly naive when it comes to moral busting things like murder. From the standpoint of her plan, one could wish she was less so. And more doubting. But from the standpoint of characterization, it really works. |
Glumski chapter 42 . 1/6/2016 Hrmm. This was a filler, wasn't it? Or, well, not really a filler since it set up the next chapter(s) and had one of those mucked up timeline moments but... it didn't release the tension. Now I'm tense. More, please? |
RAGAnne chapter 42 . 1/5/2016 I guess we should consider it a good part of Dawn's character that she's really bad at planning murders. :) It just makes me more anxious about the next couple of chapters though. And while I assumed you meant the Spuffy was coming in part III, I still loved your author's note. I'll try not to miss Buffy too much. |
JayeMaru chapter 41 . 1/5/2016 So very curious where this will go next. It's neat to see how Spike pushes Dawn, but in the end he's gone along with her direction. Originally from self interest, lately because he imagines he can help, or at least keep things from going pear shaped. Separately, I'm intrigued at how much Buffy is getting from the (?) other timeline. |
RAGAnne chapter 41 . 1/2/2016 Well you author's note was certainly ominous! :) Great chapter though. I really loved the Dawn and Spike interaction. But consequences! Aahh! |
Guest chapter 41 . 1/2/2016 You are a cruel, cruel writer to leave us that cliff hanger. At least I know you're almost always good for a speedy follow up. I can't wait to see what kind of consequences you have in mind. Will Spike get on board with the wooing Buffy plan? Will he let Dawn kill Ben? Can Dawn go through with it? Will Buffy ever find out. Does Joyce survive? You've got me so hooked! |
JayeMaru chapter 40 . 1/1/2016 The Buffy/Riley breakup breakup was nicely done. In character, yet different because it came from self awareness rather than hiding and cheating. And the breakup was nicely accompanied by insights on Buffy’s side, yay. And an appreciation for Dawn’s help (rather than anger at meddling). But I’m kinda worried about how and when the now liberated key energy will manifest…. I really admire the pacing that has these story elements happening over time, with none of us aware of the full situation. Very engaging. Excited for more. Regarding your end notes, I’m glad Riley got to be a basically nice guy in this story. I’m in the camp that feels sorry for the guy, even if I think their relationship problems were evenly split. Loving the wrong person is never easy. But mostly I think the writers did his character a disservice. I mean, he served a great narrative purpose as a living Ken doll, bland and average in contrast to Buffy’s extraordinary nature, and not the right boyfriend for Buffy. But then they made him into an ersatz monster and then an unsympathetic and out-of-step boyfriend and then an addict. And after all that mishigas, Buffy learned zip that was useful from their time together. Errr, uhhh…. |
