I guess "Kinda a filler chapter, but a necessary one" sums it up very well. Well written, as always, and it leaves me wanting more. I'm really looking forward to seeing Dawn, well, the young Dawn. Or whatever is going to happen when those monks do their spell. Though it will probably be some time till then, since a huge part of season 4 is still ahead of us. Anyway...

I really like this story, it's a great concept. I'm wondering where you will go with it. Can't wait to see more

Finally! Gosh, have I missed this! Great chapter, as always. And I'm very much looking forward to Dawn and Spike's discussion. Heh...

I hadn't really contemplated before this chapter that Spike's relationships with all the Scoobies will be altered without the chip. I look forward to seeing how that develops. The funny part for me was when Riley showed up and my first reaction was, "Oh no, don't let him see Spike" before I remembered that this Riley has never met Spike. I wonder how long they'll be able to hide the fact that Spike's a vampire from him. Then again, it is Riley. :)

I loved Spike in Xander's clothes, but it was kinda scary. Maybe a little more Dawn/Buffy communication. I feel very sorrey for Dawn.
