You made an excellent story with an unexpectedly good base, especially on an site that (in my opinion) is knows of bad/evil Dumbledore stories

I just realized that if System doesn't reveal they're condition before they meet Luna, Luna may just let the cat, or in this case pony, out of the bag on their first meeting, cause I can see her referring to each pony by name depending who she's conversing with at the time. Luna's always been shockingly/freakishly knowledgeable that way.
