In no way did you write Harry as weak or whiney(well, maybe when he was grounded, but let's be honest, we all whined at that point!). He was abused his whole life, living as nothing more than a silent slave. Him breaking down is completely acceptable after that nuke Dumbledore dropped on him.
Plus, as you said, the poor kid is only 15, and had a very chaotic few days.
