Eh. One never wants the hero to fall but I don't think there is an emotional teenager in history that hasn't wanted to kill someone at some point. He has the power and knowledge of how to do so, which combined makes the scene very believable. It looks like he is getting an education in the traditional Black outlook. I'm looking forward to the next chapter and lunch break is over darn it!

So. I like how you have introduced a wand without Olivander. I like Harry learning life lessons old style as it were. I'm getting a kick out of the wait for Harry realizing magic is 'real' and wondering if Al will ever discover Harry's 'true' origins or if maybe Al will come closer to the true ancestry than anyone else thinks.

ahem. ok. let me start over. i normally read slash but i seem to have cleared the entire fan fiction archive for any and all of the good ones. there's also been a distressingly lack of new additions too. as a result, in order to sate my craving for harry potter which is still going strong after all these years, i decided to give this one a try on a whim. immediately i was sucked in. i adore AUs and i've read so many but i haven't seen this approach before. harry's been raised by all sorts of characters - sirius, ocs, voldemort, himself even - but this is the first time he's been raised by alphard black. what an unlikely character! and absolutely brilliant! i was fascinated with your characterization of him and harry's development under his care. i read quite a few dark harry fics as well but your approach was so unique and fresh. i've read quite a few dark harry fics but your harry was so unique and amazing. the very definition of an antihero, so complex, a contradiction of morally good, noble, and innocent but with a pragmatic and ruthless streak. every word kept me on my toes. i couldn't even pause to comment as i was so eager to get to the next chapter and the next! otherwise i would have commented on every chapter! this definitely deserved more reviews and favorites and follows. anyway, please update soon!

I've read your story from start to finish but I still can't figure out if I truly like this story- which is most likely because this isn't the type of story I will usually read. Also, although it's a good read (so I've decided so far) at the same time I feel like it could use more excitement or something. I don't know where I'm going with this- I'm sleep deprived so I don't know if this review was a good idea in the first place haha. Anyways, I love what a unique storyline you have so far and keep up the good work love :)

Loving this. Sirius is great, and slightly evil Harry is fab too. I hope there will be a trial with shocking revelations?
