I had a feeling this was coming. Great story, but it's a total shame that it seems to have ended right when the plot was finally about to kick into overdrive. It's been well over a year since an update but I've seen fanfics resume after longer breaks so I'm not giving hope, but if you've totally dropped this story for good then I respect that decision, even if it saddens me. Hope you come back to this dude.

In regards to the actual chapter, I really liked Jake coming with Finn so that Finn didn't get fucked up again, that was cool.

Marceling staying at the treefort is an interesting development that I rarely see and I hope it lasts a decent amount of time.

This was a really good chapter! I greatly enjoy how you're handling Finn/FP with their awkward feelings and still the teeniest hint of longing there. FP thinking "even nature was against us" was pretty sad, poor kids.
FP's comment about being carried was nice.
I felt really bad for the poor troll, it was obvious he was in trouble and wasn't the aggressor here. I kind of wish FP and Finn helped it.

That Finnceline shit was choice, I thought the build up was very well. Annoyed that Ash showed up to screw things up but we can't have them already snogging after the first kiss. Marceline's affection for Finn is really sweet and it was so cute when she was hoping he would stay.
Good stuff man.

Finn and Marcy making up was sweet. The little booty dance was a little to silly for my tastes but I did love how it showed that Finn is getting much less embarrassed around Marceline.
Also, Marceline accidentally fucking up Finn and Jake being really protective of Finn and pissed at her is a concept I always find myself enjoying.

PB staring at Finn was pretty subtly heartbreaking. I can imagine her going through all the shitty stuff she's done to him and thinking that if he dies she'll never get to make it up to him. I really enjoy how you're writing those two together.

Marceline's innuendo is fun.

Very curious as to the extent of Bubblegum and Marceline's argument, guessing it had to do with Iris.

I'm sad you didn't let Finn keep the black eye, kinda wanted everyone to comment on it at the part :P
Dude, I love the way you handle Finn and Jake's rapport. It's so cute and totally in character and they're having all these nice little moments. Loved Jake noticing Finn feeling sad and giving advice, and that comb interaction. Plus "Oh Jermiane's here?" What a great line, love it when people remember Jermaine exists.
Plus that little part where Jake was explaining how to set up the handkerchief was such a cute little big brother thing for them to do, shit was adorable.

I liked Finn's interaction with all the gals. He and PB are getting on better than I thought they would, Marcy's going into it (loved her getting him drunk and checking out that butt) and him and Phoebe are enjoyably awkward together. Wondering if her boyfriend is a jerk.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this story even without the plot, but I'm interested to see where it's headin.

This story continues to be nifty. Wonder what's up with Finn's arm and what is apparently a little bit of memory loss with the date of the ball.
I can see the Finn/Marceline angle and am totally for it, you're writing them very in character and it's flowing quite naturally. I found it funny that Marcy was checking out Finn even when he has a gross black eye that every other character is complaining about.

Good stuff.

This is still pretty fun. Love the references you pepper in: Fear Feaster and To Cut a Woman's Hair and the evil ocean from Billy's first episode.
And NEPTR is rad, nice one.

Wow, I gotta say your version of Finn is so ridiculously in character. Like, usually I find a few foibles in the way people write him but this was so spot on that I didn't find anything to complain about.
And you write him as such a sweetheart too, that chat with the Banana Guards and Finn even feeling bad was so cute. Plus his thinkings on Bubblegum and Flame Princess and him deciding to be a gentleman with PB's coat.

Honestly the plot for this story isn't much (yet) but your Finn is so pleasant that I gotta keep going.
