After your rec at the end of Rebuilding ch 10, I went back and realized I didn't review this fic (what?), so I've read it again. You're right; the first chapter is really fantastic. I really love the list, and that they keep it posted on the wall. I love the wand scene, that was just great. Hermione rocks when she's angry and fighting for a cause. I think my favorite part was the moment Draco decided to make dinner.

While I normally feel glad whenever Umbridge gets what's coming to her, I don't think anyone deserves to be tortured to death. I kind of can't believe that they would give Narcissa free reign to do whatever she wanted and be fine with it. But overall it was a really fun read.

Came here on your recommendation. Was not disappointed! Fabulous story!

This is a bloody beautiful chapter. A rollarcoaster of emotions and trepidation and so much more. Thank you for writing for us all.

Usually when the two of them are "thrust together" like this it is hard to convey the truth of attraction. It's typically force and usually bends one of their personalities to the other (which is a shame, since you've proven time and again this pairing works well with their personalities solidly intact).

That is to say, you blew that trope out of the damn water with this. I can see, per your note in Like Brothers, why you are proud of this chapter. It is excellent.

I read this a long time ago. Back when it wasnt a habit of mine to leave a review. I loved this from he first time I read it and I love it now. Its beautifully done.

I came here from Rebuilding ch10. I have to agree that was a good chapter as far as buildup and conclusion, but I don't know if I think it's your best ever. There are certain characterization things like Harry hiding information from Hermione for her own good, Hermione's quick acceptance of Draco no matter his prattishness and Draco knowing a phrase like Underground Railroad.

I wholly enjoyed this!

Oh, how I loved the part of Narcissa's chipped fingernail. I enjoyed this story so much.

(except Shacklebolt, who, tragically, was killed by a tiger while on holiday with Narcissa Malfoy. Narcissa was fine, though she was overheard to say "three down.")

For some reason, this made me laugh so much I cried. Well, it is awfully late. This is another delightful short story.

Still, it made having dinner with them somewhat more awkward than he'd anticipated.
