I adore your writing and your characterisations and the relationships you develop between characters who used to be rivals, while beautifully maintaining and demonstrating those between old friends, and these are things that you do in all of your stories. I also loved Narcissa in this, just fyi. I think that your portrayal of her here is how I have always seen her. Excellent story! |

| bythesea-borne chapter 3 . 6/3/2015 Once I finally finished all my exams and school and work and stuff my first mission was catching up to all of your stories because I'd read your drabbles and one shots and I was dying to read your multichaptered stories. I decided to start small, start with one of the oldest, shortest and less known of your stories because I usually get WAY too excited when I read good fiction and I had a feeling it would be the case, so I tried the gradual approach. And then BOOM! Absolutely mind blown! This is very very good! It's obvious it was written with a lot of care, a lot of skill and a lot of talent, I knew you were a great author but this is amazing! The themes, the style, the characterization, the rhythm! You dealt with the post-war situation in a way I think is very realistic and interesting, showcasing the effects of power, corruption, hatred, resentment, consequences. Your characters are diverse, original, round and very coherent and tangible, very well chosen too. Narration and pace was masterfully crafted, I'm completely awestruck! Everyone who likes Dramione or just good fiction should read this, the arc of the characters, the small metaphorical passages, Narcissa and Draco and his reactions were so spot on! Oh my god...'Gradual' process indeed...I can only say congratulations, you're very talented and it's a great thing that you share your talent with us readers, I'm very grateful. So, thank you, now I'm just going to go read all your other fics :) |
