| Spanner96 chapter 1 . 3/24
I don’t use this word lightly, but it’s the only word that seems to fit here… Harry is a cuck. Seriously, he has NO backbone and if Astoria told him to watch her sleep with some other guy he’d stammer out an affirmative and follow her command. How in the flying fuck does that relationship dynamic appeal to people? Let’s also not forget you’ve had Astoria try and love potion he and Daphne, and we’re meant to like her?
You’ve got a story in which none of the three main characters are even remotely likeable and have zero chemistry. Forget struggling to enjoy, this is impossible to enjoy.
| Spanner96 chapter 1 . 3/24
I’m struggling to enjoy this.
Astoria is annoying as fuck. “I just know him. They’d be perfect together. Why? Just because.” Even as a bystander I wand to backhand her and tell her to mind her own bloody business.
Daphne’s a bit cold, and not in a disinterested way… in a bitchy way.
The real annoyance is Harry though, as the only character that actually has an established personality in canon. Everything about this is contrary to his character. He’s saying sorry for failing to get with Daphne, instead of getting mad that some uppity bitch is completely disregarding his own feelings and trying to force him into something. The second she got angry at him for not talking to Daphne, canon-Harry WOULD have gotten angry in return and told her off for presuming to order him around instead of being cowed. Slight personality changes to canon are fine and larger ones are fine when there’s an actual catalyst for the change, but you’ve got canon-Harry and just decided to make him not-Harry.

You contradicted yourself? Exhibit A: Their surprise visit was prompted by a most curious occurrence; Astoria Lily Potter's name appeared in the Hogwarts Book. Exhibit B: ... but tradition dictated the daughter take her mother's given name as her middle name.
For the second of those to be true, Astoria's original name would have had to be Astoria Daphne Potter. But as it isn't, that means that they could have given her a different middle name

As soon as you mentioned she had one green eye and one blue like her sister's, I knew who Astoria was...

The pairing is a bit misleading, this is obviously only a Harry/Astoria story, not a Harry/Daphne/Astoria story.

Good story but how did she get to be Daphne's sister?

First things first, I'm very much not into "Wincest" but I love pairing Lily/Harry not in a Mother/Child way, but rather more on their "characters" - which is why I always look for Time Travel/AU where Harry goes back in time where he wasn't "BORN" yet, meaning that he hasn't existed yet for that part to truly matter. Things like taking a new identity etc, and this one fits the bill.
Though this one blew the ball for me, not only did it convey the "Horror" of realization that she had done, but I also felt my stomach somehow dropping when that last reveal happened... holy crap. Imagine giving birth to yourself, YIKES.
Anyways, really good! Just hoped you expanded more on how Daphne and Harry ended up together, I had a feeling that it was somehow forced with Daphne approaching Harry with that "Plan" of some sort, a bond that was formed by lost souls seeking validation or the like.
